Survive! knives

The dangler is the way to go it still sits a tad high for me and the bonus with the dangler is that it moves around so when you set down in the car or in a chair its not pocking in your side IMAO.

Just saw the email from Survive about the danglers back in stock, so I ordered one while sitting at the Rays-Tigers game this afternoon. Hopefully the 4.1 that I ordered on the 17th ships soon.
 
Dang, apparently Photobucket is giving me issues, I edited the photos and cleaned them up to makethem prettier but i guess it didnt work. Oh well, you get the point!!!LOL no pun intended.

I've been suppressing my feelings about my 3.5 (because of the wait) but damn that short clip is getting me all excited like a kid right before Xmas! I like the swell in the scales and the smaller size overall. Add light weight and wonderful steel and Guy looks to have another hit on his hands.

NOW GET IN MY HAND SO I CAN START WHITTLING!!!

Couldn't wait for the scale options for my 10 so I made my own. Brown G10 laminated to Sand Ghost G10. Put some Strontium Aluminate in the epoxy so the seam between the two slabs glows a little in the dark. Contoured the shape to fit my hand and these are a little wider than the stock micarta. This is the knife that retired my Junglas to the knife box in the shop.

After seeing this Orange, I'm gonna have to do a set like these.

Not hard to do with a couple strips of kydex. The firesteel makes my 5.1 one of all time favs when I'm out in the woods during hunting season. With this combo on my hip, I'm confident all will be well if I end up out there overnight unintentionally. That 5.1 will do whatever I need to make it through a night or more.
 
Yes, that is #21 in the pic of the 5.1. I'm lucky to have it. It seems like an eternity waiting for the 3.5 thoughI know it will be worth it.

I don't have a 6 yet. Anyone have a pic of the two side by side. I want one either way but would like to see some comparison pics if someone owns both.
 
I dont get the sk 4. It is 40 bucks cheaper than the 4.1 but doesnt have a sheath. Unless you really like s7 it doesnt make sense to me.
 
A Survive SK series machete makes sense to me.For my uses stainless makes the most sense for a 4 inch knife.It's cool that they offer them as an option and I am sure people will enjoy the SK series.

The SK-4s listed on the site right now include the same kydex sheath as the GSO-4.1s. There isn't a dropdown for them because they're all black.
