Survive! knives

Hey all, without reading through the previous 39 pages, are there plans to offer the GSO-6 again? I had to sell mine to pay for other habits (guns) and am sorely regretting it (as I always am after selling my toys to fund other toys). Thanks!

Since my name's in here (well, almost), let me address some things.

To Ronnie, thanks for the kind words. Certainly haven't offended me in any way. I do appreciate the sentiment on the color thing, but know that it's entirely unnecessary to limit yourself on choices for my sake. Do your thing, brother. If you need to borrow a blade I have, just ask.

To anyone who may feel the desire to take shots at someone else, please don't. I've been doing this sheath thing for a good few years in one capacity or another and the one thing I value most is the lack of drama. I have never denigrated another maker or tried to promote my work as better. I'm not that guy and don't want anyone else doing it on my behalf. When I started making sheaths I was greeted by Mike Sastre and others with nothing but help and encouragement. I've done my best to follow that example by helping other makers in any way I can (as they have me). The game of life always ends the same way and if you're able to spend hundreds of dollars on things like knives then you're probably pretty blessed in it. There's no reason to spend it acting like a douchebag.

Ummm?!? What I meant was since halestorm (Ronnie) is selling his survive! Knives, that means people like me won't be able to order custom configuration sheaths. Is it because there was "LOL" ?! It was not an intent for a personal attack. Moving on...

Yes. "LOL" tends to imply being happy with something. Hard to tell intent the interwebs. Apologies for misinterpreting.

Ditto. Sorry about that knikechop.

The answer still remains YES, I can build anything you like. Simply send the knife to me, I'll build to your specs, and send it all back.
My turn time is 3 weeks and many times I get things out much quicker. I only have a 3 week lead time so I don't make any promises I can't keep.

Moving on, anyone got their 3.5's from the regular orders a few weeks ago? I know everyone said 5-15 days at Survive.

I'm still waiting on my pre-order 3.5. It has regular handles, not the premium. The pre-orders are supposed to be 1st in line for the grinder...followed by the general orders. I know they had some equipment issues over the last week or so..

Been on vacation has there been any updates on the 4.1 factory seconds/moving sale?
Ordered a 4.1 2nd and a Necker 2nd during the start of the moving sale.
So that puts me at 22 days out. I believe both items were in stock or at least showed they were.

My 4.1 3v arrived. I got spec'd up scales for it for my other 4.1. Now I have my A1 4.1 and my user...

I love the earth finish :)

All models will be offered again with modifications.
Until now some models shared the same handle, from now on every model will have a specific dedicated design best suited for the intended use.
(I'm looking forward for a SK-6 ;) )

I ordered a couple weeks ago and haven't heard anything other than my initial order confirmation.

You won't until your order is complete. Not to worry though, you will get your knife and be very satisfied. Guy has a small crew but very professional and easy to deal with. I own a GSO 4.1, Necker, and got the last "Blem" GSO 10. The 10 showed up, box beat to hell from USPS and the sheath had damage (none to knife). I called the shop, talked to a very understanding Lady, and got it resolved. She was VERY cool! During our conversation I asked when they would have their red logo shirts back in stock. When my new sheath arrived, guess what was inside and free of charge, red Survive shirt in XL!

Customer for life and spreading the word!

Didn't know about that... where you got the info from ?

Same here.
It's been almost a month. It would be nice to get some kind of update, like "We didn't lose your order, no need to call us and check."
Or "Sorry, we've been super busy. Your knife is expected to ship within the next 10 business days"

Or something.

I'd guess they're finishing up the 3.5 preorders. Got my shipping notice yesterday for mine that I purchased October 1.
Am excited.

I ordered a 4.1 2nd with a 5-15 day assembly period if I recall. I also ordered a sheath that will take 10 weeks, so I don't care so much about the knife shipping out in 2 weeks or so. I'll see how I like this knife with a view of the 3.5 down the road sometime if I'm impressed with the 4.1 second.

I feel like that's a little bit different, since you were waiting on the knife to be made.
The knife I ordered was pretty much already made. Just needed to screw on some handles and mail it out.

What I was getting at is that I would hope they were finishing up with knives that were ostensibly supposed to be out by Christmas before moving on to other projects. Hope you get your knife soon.

I don't have a dog in this fight. I hope to own a survive knife one day.
all I want to say was this line from kiah is Sig line material
" The game of life always ends the same way and if you're able to spend hundreds of dollars on things like knives then you're probably pretty blessed in it. There's no reason to spend it acting like a douchebag.".
