Svord Peasant MINI

Thanks for posting the video... I hope we get the wood ones for people who prefer that.

I have one question; has Svord solved the problem of the blade tip contacting the screw when the knife is closed?

I don't usually get this excited about a knife, but I'm chomping at the bit to buy one.

Man, this is sweet; I cannot wait to get my hands on one. Thank you for the video, btw, it really helps!

Glad the video helped. They have shipped wooden ones to USA like the one in the video.

I am not sure about the blade contacting the rear pin. I haven't noticed it on mine and I dont know if its a common issue. I wonder if under some use the stop pin is bending or moving a little? or is it hitting straight out of the box?

Sorry I dont have any information on that at all.

The blade contacting the rear pin is a common issue with the full size peasant. It's just a matter of putting the pin in the right place. I hope they got it right with the mini.

I'll definately be grabbing a couple wooden ones. This (Regular)one had the blade hitting the rear rivet. re-shaped the tip, and gave it a full convex grind by hand. L6 is great stuff to play with.
I hope this new mini really catches on!

Duane - you do great job on each of your knives you modify. This Peasant Knife looks great in my eyes! Thanks for sharing :)

Thanx Unkle Andi, I showed this one because I think a similar treatment to the mini will truly make it a " pocket knife"

I really need to pick one of these up. I've been playing with my full-size peasant quite a bit lately, and the smaller version should be amazing. The design is just too cool, I love the blade action. Nothing else is quite like it, except for customs of course, which cost much more. It looks like it could be just about the ideal "first knife" for a young boy too.

yeah, i very much like my full size one. ive come to the conclusion that its kind of bulky to carry sometimes, like if i have to do a lot of walking over uneven ground or a lot of crouching down and straightening up. so the smaller version might be a good move.

Oh heck yes! Can't wait until one of my distributors gets these in. I can't wait for 'em!

Does anyone know of retail distributors in the U.S. who will likely be carrying these? I believe Blue Ridge Knives was mentioned but I think they only sell wholesale. These look like a neat reimagining of the ancient clasp knives, I'd be interested in checking one out if they come the U.S.

They were all shipped to BlueRidge. Probably emailing them and asking if they've arrived, and who the main resellers will be is the best way to find out. I think they are in USA already.

Word of Warning. if you notice in the video I posted the wooden one had some flaked chipping on the spine/inside 1 handle.. There is a chance that some of the wenge ones will have this problem as the router didn't take too well apparently. if you are after a wooden one, I'd ask any retailer to Look over the knife before shipping so that you dont have to waste the price of the knife on a return shipping incase more slipped through the QA process.

I'm pretty sure 42Blades (Baryonyx Knife Co) will be stocking these as soon as he can - he maintains a pretty decent stock of Svord blades.
both the mini and the slim sound very interesting to me -- especially with Wenge scales. currently all I have is a black plastic handled peasant knife and it's pretty nice, but bulky for pocket carry.

I have plastic, ugly plastic. But if there is an easier knife to make some wood handles for I have not found it.

I didn't know they were making a mini, that looks cool, but wish they made a larger one as well. The standard peasant blade is a bit small if you ask me.

I avoided the regular Peasant because I thought it was too big. I'm definitely going to pick up a Mini.

KyleyHarris :Would love to know where you got them from I have been hanging to get a few for pimping.
