Good lookin' dog.

I don't have the "Choose me! Choose me!" piles that apparently many of you make each day to decide what you'll carry. Instead I have my weekly schedule that I can just mindlessly follow once I've set it up (currently it's a 39-week cycle).

But I do have a pile of knives on the kitchen counter. I used to rotate those as part of my weekly schedule, but I've moved to sticking with the same few knives all the time, with many new knives getting a try-out period in the kitchen when they first arrive. Here are the 5 knives that are always (unless the rotation schedule says one of them is supposed to be in my pocket for a week) on the kitchen counter helping me with food prep. I was surprised at the variety of blade shapes I have (and I often have some size of trapper in the kitchen, which adds a spey to the mix - I really like spey blades for food prep).

No piles for me, knives or otherwise ;):D I'm still punching the clock so weekdays I open a drawer, peruse the contents and pick one as the spirit moves. On my days off I go for a bigger folder or fixed blade for the belt, but the general process is the same.

Cheers!

That Mustang is a Pretty Pony.
Thanks John. That 74's pin striping comes from an American Chestnut and it started a whole big thing for me and GEC 74s. It is put together with as close to the perfect build as I've ever seen. Virtually flawless in any way that can be measured, with one and only one exception... pin depth. That one exception keeps it believable, who ever heard of a perfect production knife? It is without a doubt one knife (barring any unforeseen circumstance like a Kurgan ) I'll be keeping for as long as I'm around. :)
