Late September of last year I bought a CRK Umnumzaan from TacticalBlade in this thread. I paid right away and waited patiently for my knife to arrive. I gave it plenty of time because I'm in Afghanistan and understand that it can take a few weeks to get to my APO. When I didn't get the knife by the beginning of November I started asking about it. He couldn't produce the tracking number, claiming to have lost the receipt. He finally said that it was his fault, but that he's make good by sending me another Umnum he had. I was OK with that, although a bit disappointed that the one with the extra accessories listed in the original ad was lost. In early December he said it was shipped and emailed me a traccking number. Again I waited, but noticed the tracking info showed

"Label/Receipt Number: 9105 1288 8230 0032 9923 09
Class: Priority Mail®
Service(s): Delivery Confirmation™/Insured > $200
Status: Electronic Shipping Info Received

The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on December 06, 2011 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. No further information is available for this item."

I gave adequite time for the knife to get here, because I know sometimes the updates shown online are seriously outdated at best, especially around Christmas. I never got either knife and suspect he did the postage through paypal, but never actually took it to the post office. Paypal's dispute window is long closed, but I paid with my credit card, so I'll have to pursue a chargeback.

Of all the knives I've bought of BF this is the first time I've had something go bad. :(

Updated 4-13, see post #74, I've recieved the knife.

I had an issue with TB over a trade and had to get moderators involved...it worked out, but took about 3 months to get my knife :( my advice is to contact a higher BF authority and get the power on your side.

Glad it worked out for you. Any suggestions which mod I should email first? And thank you.

He'll waste more of your time. Chargeback on your credit card will get your money and cost him fees, too. There will be other Umnumzaans to buy from honest dealers.

People should get banned with behaviour like that! Not to mention the fact he did this to a serviceman overseas.

Too bad you can't give him a little 'urging' like I've seen you do with other jokers on here. Hopefully paypal will be able to get their money back from him. They can't always.

Some people HAVE NO RESPECT

Why can't all seller be like you, GIZ?

I agree. I see he's still a gold member and he'll likely pull the same stunt again. I wonder if he shipped the other knives he listed, or if he just took advantage of the fact that I'm overseas and wouldn't be able to file in the 45 days paypal required. If I hadn't used my CC I'd have no chance of ever seeing my $330 again. :thumbdn:

I am sending him email reminding him of the previous problem and this one and asking him to respond.

I strongly agree that BF should permanently ban members who have proven themselves to be dishonest, even once.
BF should not be a place for scammers to operate from.
The vast majority of BF members are completely straight forward in their business dealings with other members.
I have bought and sold quite a few knives here and every time both buyer and seller promptly did exactly what they said they would do, resulting in both myself and the other party being completely satisfied. Let's strive to make this the norm for all deals by getting rid of the few dishonest members asap.

Thanks, I'll be sure to post if I hear anything from him. So far, just crickets.

I agree with you on that, especially for outright theft. Wish there was also a way to press charges. If you look at my posting history you'll see I've bought lots of knives here and anytime the seller leaves the thread unlocked you see a happy "Look what I got!" post at the end of it. That just shows how great most of you guys are to work with. I've only even had a hint of a problem once, when a seller didn't want to take responsibility to put tracking and insurance on a package being sent to me here. I backed out, the only time I've ever done that. Every other time the knife's been as good as claimed, or better. This is such a great place to come and feed my CRK addiction, I have the thought of a few thieves ruining it.

Esav, I emailed him and you emailed him, and I still haven't heard from him at all. He's had plenty of time by now to respond.

It's now been a week since Esav said he was going to email TacticalBlade, and even longer since I emailed him. No reply, no refund or knife either. He stole my money, plain and simple.

I've also sent 2 emails to Esav, which have gone unanswered. While I don't have unrealistic expectations that he could get TB to make good, a little 'give a shit' would be nice. Especially from someone who preaches communication and should be setting the example. I know I'm not a paid member, but in the time I've been here I've bought a lot of knives in the For Sale section. By supporting the sellers I've indirectly supported BF.

Sorry I can't help just now. My computers are out. My Kindle is barely able to read and post. I have no access to my files.

Lone_Wolf...sorry to hear about that. I'll be watching to see what comes of this.

Thanks. So here's what's come of this. PP and my bank ruled in my favor, but couldn't get any $$$ from his account. So he ripped me off for over $300.

I see he's still a gold member here, in spite of this and a previous issue that required moderator intervention. I'm not sure what the criteria is for getting moderator interest is, and am hesitant to buy from the For Sale forums right now. I'm taking a hiatus for that reason. But let this thread serve as a warning to anyone thinking of doing business with TacticalBlade.

He won't even reply here.

He needs to be banned.

edit- just looked at his profile and he hasn't logged in since 10/25/11, so I guess a banning wouldn't mean much.

Very sorry about this Lone_Wolfe. It appears he is long gone after taking your money.

Time to drop the Ban Hammer. This guy has proved in the past he is untrustworthy, so this is at least his second time proving it here with LW. There is no reason TacticalBlade should still be a member of BF.

And LW I'm sure the mods are aware of this thread and hopefully are doing something about it, even if it's just banning the toolbag. Who are the other mods for this sub-forum other than Esav? If he's up a creek without a computer you may want to try one of them.

ETA: Just saw Ken's post. This is an absolute shame. Lone-Wolfe you should post any info about him that you have (where he's from etc.) so others can try and avoid this POS.
