Thanks ndeezl. Here's a link to Shockjockey's thread about his deal that started to go wrong before the mods jumped in. Someone posted some links to info about him there, including one with a pic of him. Seems he's a student at Joliet Junior College in Joliet, IL, majoring in business. I guess this is how he's paying tuition....

Joliet is indeed a suburb of Chicago, where Mr Myrda's profile on the Artist website states that he attends school. That same Artist website uses the 708-275-6051 phone number as a contact....

Lone_Wolf, you may want to change your thread title to sound more harsh. Something with his name and the word "thief" may help when others Google his name.

Also, there is not more the mods can do other than banning him, which should happen. Esav did about all he could by contacting him about the issue.
Again, very sorry you had to loose that much money.

On a serious note though, it doesnt make any sense that he should send you the payment back in half in supposedly 2 payments. I think creditcard.com says average interest rate is 12.62% that means he should owe you $337.86 not subjecting that cost to late fees, which would apply. I've made my mistakes, I've made them right. You get respected alot more after bad judgement calls by making them right and apologizing up front. I have positive feedback even with a mistake in there because I made it right and everyone was happy. I'm also a full time Fireman/Paramedic working overtime all the time too, it doesnt stop me from communicating.

Gold Member rips off American Military serving in Combat Zone and this is it?? There's a 10+ page thread over a misrepresented CRK where the knife showed up and a refund is on its way.
Things a little outta whack these days?
Transaction originated on BF between a Gold member and a RU and the offending GM is still a member albeit MIA?

In the other thread's defense, this one didn't have TacticalBlade post long manifestos on why it was OK for him to do what he did. :rolleyes:

It wouldn't matter to me who it was he ripped off, it's the fact that a thief is still a gold member that bothers me a lot. I've shied away from the Forsale forums since this started because of that.

BTW, I do understand and appreciate what you were getting at with me being deployed and all that. :thumbup:

As you unboubtedly saw my posts in the "other" thread, I too rail against ANYONE being ripped off BUT being Military, I am very protective of ALL Service Men and Women.
If you wear the uniform - You deserve the support and protection in return that you give of yourself. Period.
As a Company Commander, my Men/Women knew I went to the wall for them anytime/anywhere against anyone.
Nothing has changed.

This sucks anyway it's sliced. The guy is a worthless P.O.S. punk.
I'll leave it at that.

It's a payment dispute at the moment (unless he produces the blade). You could try contacting his family at the home address, college administration office at Joliet Junior College or the business addresses local Chamber of Commerce office for help.

Joliet, Orland Park and Lagrange are all just 25 minutes apart driving. I grew up right in the middle of all three towns.

If the seller decides to do the right thing, I'd be happy to drive to any of the three locations to pickup the knife and forward it promptly to Lone_Wolfe.

FWIW, I just checked TacticalBlade's profile again and he logged in here just a couple weeks ago. Hope he's not planning to 'sell' any more knives. :thumbdn:
 
Don't ban him but "firebrand" his name in whatever humiliating ways so everyone on bladeforum will forever know he's a thief and not to do any dealing with him or have any sort of conversation with him while seeing that firebrand always hanging over his head, making his life much more difficult.

The only problem with that is that people would have to watch his posts and dog the For Sale threads. I rarely go in there now because of this fiasco.

I'm not sure I agree about banning him back then, because he DID make good after being prodded, but the fact that he's allowed to stay now troubles me a lot. It's the reason I steer clear of the For Sale forum for the most part now. I've only bought 2 knives this year, compared to 2 dozen in the last 3 months of last year. In that sense, the mods may be doing me a favor, since what I usually buy are CRK's and they're not cheap.
