Yup. Gun-shaped knives remind me of those galactically-stupid gun-shaped cell phone cases, like this one:

That said, I guess people should be able to make money off people who want to play stupid games and win stupid prizes.

Agreed. I have no problem with dumb people doing Darwin Award eligible dumb things.

I remember a vape company made a vape mod a few years ago that looked like a hand grenade. Not too swift to be carrying something like that around on a busy street or thru an airport.

That's my general feeling as well, as I lean towards not restricting personal liberties as much as possible.

That said, my heart goes out to anyone who might suffer all the heartache and legal trouble that would come from mistaking some non-gun item disguised to look like one as the real thing in the dark in a split second decision. Even though the system would eventually clear them, that would still be a crummy situation to be stuck in.
