the artisan is really a step backward for them, I'm a bit surprised - I can't see a 'use case' for a blade shaped like that
That Begg thing has to be a hoax.
I mean, it could be a joke knife. Or it could be a really expensive knife that's kind of a joke, at least insomuch as some halfwit will shell out thousands for it.
I'm a Begg fan.

I dunno, it's overly blinged out, has thousands of speed holes and unnecessary random adornments, while at the same time showing the detailed and careful craftsmanship of someone that knows his trade but who has terrible taste--so basically a Begg design exactly, no?
Also it's on his instagram days before the 1st and IIRC was mentioned as having won "best dressed fighter" in another post.

It's really sad that such a talented craftsman / knife maker / artist spends so much time building utter shit.... We get it, you're good, you can make whatever, stop please.Has Todd Begg started designing for M-Tech?

So you’re saying it’s a deep inside joke that Begg put his passion into?
Come on man, those zombies aren't gonna kill themselves...Wow, so he's done the whole double shuriken guard thing before? Yikes.
This is the true embodiment of "highly skilled production capabilities applied to terrible ideas".
Let me guess at the name on this one . . . was it "War Cleaver" by chance?

I'm not sure, the Begg thing confuses me altogether. I always picture him riding around in a gold-plated Bentley that has those add-on chrome patches over the wheel wells even though the whole car is already highly reflective, and then some fake vents and a bolt-on wing that has it's own bolt-on wing, both of them chrome but with speed holes.
I think it's possible that I just don't understand the free market forces driving makers of true genius like Begg, Heeter, and RMK who are making the truly functional designs that are beyond my comprehension.
Then again, clearly I'm not that sharp given that I continue to purchase Chris Reeve's Ex-Wifes's Knives in the vain hope that I'll finally grow attached to one, so who am I to call any knife purchaser a halfwit in the first place?
One day when you’re ready to admit your sins and do the right thing you’ll come to CRK.
You’re already on the road with that Emerson.
Maybe you just gotta find one you love and it will click. Honestly when I got my first it was cool but I wasn’t overly impressed by it. After carrying it for 6 years and it’s working better than ever now I appreciate it.
LOTAR knives sorry to do you like this bro but I gotta keep the thread relevant.

Technically I have four Emersons, that CQC-7V is my favorite, though.
I keep trying, and I think I've tried everything Sebenza but a starbenza or an inlay + damascus version or a CGG version (I like the concentric rings doppler pattern one, and I've seen some others I liked as well). My favorite of the bunch I've tried was a large knifeart CF Insingo. Knowing me I'll try again at some point, I'm a glutton for punishment, apparently. One common problem across the bunch for me is that I'm not in love with their thumbstud design.
Holy fell out of the ugly tree and hit every ugly branch on the way down, batman.
That's like someone said "RMK knives are the ugliest pieces of cutlery ever made? Hold my beer, bro."
