Exactly - there should be no problem at all.
Check out www.saberforge.com . LOTS of people collect high-end lightsaber replicas, and you can also build/design your own. It is almost as addictive as blade collecting. I'm guilty of owning more than a few myself.
There used to be a forum where people talked about sabers like we talk about knives, but it closed down a couple years ago.

Apparently the blade finishing at Emerson has gotten even worse over the years. The blade looks like it was dragged behind a dump truck and beaten with a rusty pipe.

A silly conversation a couple weekends back led to me thinking about an automatic box cutter. I have a Milwaukee Tools folding utility knife with a button lock that looks like I could get a spring in there.

If you mean one of their fastback, there is little need, since it is so easy to just flick them open.

I love that the lone pocket clip position will help the knife wave itself closed as you take it out of your pocket.
