Tacticlol Knives

I must agree.

That said...the result of any blade used in SD would induce shivers to most people. Knives are a very messy and horrific way to deal with an attacker.

I do not want to derail this serious thread with off topic discussion though;)

I'm a huge fan of Marc "The Animal" Mcyoung's "no nonsense self defense" - his articles on force escalation and knife fights are awesome and 100% free to read. I recommend him highly - I can circle back to the topic at hand by saying he tears into "tactical" knives and the praticioners of them quite handily, going into the depth of a true knife attack - messy and horrific might be his words as well...

mall survival! for when you absolutely need to kill a cinnabon and mallcraft a diet coke!

LOL! mallcraft - there are lots of raw materials in malls to allow you to stealthily eliminiate your enemy ...aka workers at the original cookie company.

and...its saturday morning right now and I wish I could go cinnabon hunting myself...will a Gerber MARK II be sufficient?

Indeed, in the hands of an expert mall ninja even a plastic butter knife is more than lethal! :D

I often use my knives to "kill" the annoying tab on the Tim Horton's coffee cup lids when they won't stay down.
I'm real hard-core yo.:D

Smith & Wesson Military and Police Knife (Ninja Preschool) with MAGIC (Chi energy) Assisted open and Scooped Back Serrated Tanto (Ninjas without Tanto is like...)

This actually gives the Cold Steel AK47 a good run for its money.

(im surprised only Dork Ops and Man-Piss knives have been ribbed here, Show us the C.S winners)

I actually own and quite love that knife, the pre 2010 cs ak47

It's beefy and strong, the g10 grips great the blade tip is strong I've pierced with it many times and on top of all that it has little or no bladeplay the aus 8 is fine for my chores and didn't rust (it is starting to show a patina though)

Only gripe was the Teflon didn't hold up but that wasn't a problem

That knife has logged 1000s of hours of pocket carry with me

I love it, no problems yet and I have wave opened it a lot , not counting standard thumb stud opening and thumb flick opening. This is my work horse and play around flipper knife

And SHARP I sliced my thumb pretty bad when I first got it

Last AUS8 blade Ive ab-used lost its tip prying out carpentry vampire staples in hardwood. Not a chunky solution to the problem, but a chunky problem in my book.

this is my knife it has been used and mildly abused but i never really tried to pry out staples because i would just use needle nose pliers in that situation

im not claiming it to be a perfect knife but it doesn't deserve to be clumped in with some of these retarded knives in here and its anything but mall ninja

Not trying to start a tacticlol debate or anything, but more tacticlol than this:

Coincidentally, I love the ZT0302 (and have nothing against the SNG/SMF knives), but that super-fat belly and near 90 degree tip has always bugged me (and the tiger-stripe). I've always thought the knife would be a lot more useful with a more pokey tip, and slightly slimmer grip.

I've had two 0300s, and I agree with you on the tiger stripes..I despise it. No blade should be coated without a very special reason in mind. Anyway, other than that, I was shocked at how EDCable the 0300s were. Really practical blade shape in my opinion and quite thin for the size. They're on the big side, but not really as big as many think when they hear about how tough it is. It is super heavy, but for me personally, that is irrelevant.

But fundamentally speaking, you're right. They tried to turn up the tacticlol on the knife by adding those mall ninja stripes.

Yeah-- not to sound hyperbolic but the no nonsense self-defense guide was probably one of the most interesting things I've read on the internet. I can't believe it's free, honestly. Very well written, entertaining, not to mention relevant to a wide spectrum of professions and walks of life. Pretty much required reading if you've ever touched a gun or knife (or even if you haven't, really).

You've posted in the right category. Your persian is definitely tacticlol imo! :D

agreed no need to be a troll as to me that looks tacticlol. This is a very opinionated thread in general. No need to bash a whole brand just individual knives.
