TAD Gear

"Yeah. You make sense." Ouch.... I'm crushed......
However, insurance was available, TAD should have known better or they should have declined his business. I'm not exactly saying PS was lily white on this either, as I told him in closing, he should in the future walk away from transactions like this. That being said, I've had to deal with the frustration of the military mail system, and so, as I said in this case, I tend to come down on PS's side. So there...

In the future, I refrain from calling you a "Co-Chairperson, Co-CEO and Co-President."

By the way. . .have you worked out the other posting laws ? Other than the "5 or more posts per thread" rule. :p

I think the biggest problem stemming from this thread is perception. Some folks perceived PS's thread as an attack on TAD and their honor. I never saw it as that and don't believe PS ever intended that. He had a valid question, turned to a freind, the friend suggest he turn here for advice, and he did it. He never claimed TAD was a disreputable company. He simply post his situation.

I don't really recall seeing anyone, other then OMC, turn against TAD either. Most people here were simply debating issue of when an item is lost, instead of just one specific example of TAD's customer service.

While I have no problem with people comming to the aid of a freind, jumping on someone in "aid" when the need is not present is pretty silly. Half the posts here are defending TAD's honor when it was never in question! I really get tired of seeing a gang mentality of "you said the name of someone I know in a not 100% positive light so I am gonna bash your head in!" It doesn't serve much of a purpose, especially in this thread.

I think both parties have established they are reputable, and this was an unfortunate incident. Sadly, some things like this are out of the control of both parties. I think the outcome was a good one and the appropriate one. I also think it did nothing to damage the credibility of either party.

Well, i guess I just joined the dead horse beating club with Gig. When do I get my t-shirt and membership card?

JR

Gig,
Thanks, I knew I could count on you! I'm still working on the rest of the laws, but I can't proceed until you send me your 14th revision.:p:D

Jeremy,
There has been such a demand on the DHB membership cards, that they're now on back order from the printer. As far as the t-shirts go, we can ship it to you, but if it's going to an APO, we can't insure it. If that's OK with you, let us know and we will send it pronto!;)

Just a little humor folks. Nothing personal.:D

Don't worry. . .we won't be alone. :D

Frank and Keith didn't tell me of the "t-shirts and membership cards"

Damn Frank. . .go back to page 2 or 3 of this thread and re-read. "Insurance can be obtained on USPS parcels shipped to APO's and FPO's." :p ;) :D

You need to send all of your correspondence to Keith for review. I hold no executive nor supervisory positions in the DHB Society. I was drafted, into membership, unwillingly ! :D

But I appreciate you sending me the DHB Society Charter and as per your request. . .I'll be more than happy to post it for you.

Dead Horse Beating Society Charter (as given to me by FrankDL):

1. Investigate the procurement of stronger whips.
2. Adapt the view of “changing riders.”
3. Adapt the motto, "This is the way we have always ridden this horse."
4. Appoint a committee to study dead horse beating.
5. Arrange to visit other sites to see how they ride dead horses.
6. Increase the standards to ride dead horses.
7. Appoint a tiger team to revive the dead horse.
8. Create a training session to increase our riding ability.
9. Compare the state of dead horses in today’s environment.
10. Change the requirements of declaring, "This horse is not dead and that dead horses are better, faster and cheaper"
11. Hire contractors to ride the dead horse.
12. Harness several dead horses together for increased speed.
13. Establish the declaration, "No horse is too dead to beat."
14. Provide additional funding to increase the horse's performance.
15. Fund a continuing “Cost Analysis” study to see if contractors can ride it cheaper.
