Talonite sample knife contest...

Knice Erik, very archaic.

So far I like KennyC's the best.

Sorry KennyC, after seeing Chisels, I have to give him my vote with KennyC next is Erik, followed roth's.

Ok, the deadline is here. If you have not done so yet, post your pics today. The member's knife getting the most votes will get the prize. So we have a chance for enough forum members to vote, we will put a vote deadline of 12:00 am, 02/03/04.

One vote per member please...and no, you don't have to be in the contest to vote. The voting is open to all BF members.

Good luck!
:D

I vote for KennyC:)
i've handled it in person when he finished it and its finger grooves make it VERY comfortable

Chisel, definately used his piece to the fullest. but the other designs definately were pieces that could be used easily... just not as cool looking

Ditto to that, every did a grat job but my vote goes to Chisel.

Without a doubt Cheeeeesel has the best one! :D

Nice effort on all your parts though guys.......it's some tricky darned stuff. :)

Some really cool looking pieces.

I actually like KennyC's a bit better than Chisel, but it is really close. KennyC's has a more unique look to it, and I can tell it would be easy to hold.

So, my vote goes to KennyC.

I definitely give a round of applause to those who haven't had knife-making experience. Very brave, and inspiring.

I actually have the KennyC knife, thanks to Kenny's generosity. It feels great in the hand and has a pretty sharp edge. I keep it in a padded nylon pouch that I had laying around. I think he should make up a bunch and offer them for sale. I think they would sell. I've already asked him for permission to make a modified version out of damascus. I just need to get my hands on some more damascus.

I'd also like to point out that the other knives were really good too. Great job guys!

I cut my piece in half and made two knives out of it:

I just wanted to post pics of the Talon prybar I made. I emailed the pics to "FrodotheHobbit" because he said that he would post pics for anyone. I've got two pics to post, but I can't post them myself. I know I'm late for the contest, but I just wanted to show what I made. If anyone can post pics, your help would be much appreciated.

Edit: Frodo said he would this afternoon, thanks.

SMcGill...you got some 'splainin' to do....

As for the others. Tough choice between Kenny's and Chisel's. I think a cutting test is in order!
