Bladenoobie. You are right . after I write that I have to delete a million letters because I keep coming back to. I can't say tate won't be back or will. But at the moment we have the OP to help. I get where you were going. I'll say it. Dynabrade lets see your evidence. Lets see the emails. Us waiting doesn't mean we can't see a parties side , while we wait for a possible happy ending for both. if you offered to pay the expenses to ship properly then you deserve your money if tate didn't follow that guidance and the knife never shows up. Obviously its my opinion if the evidence shows time frames and may there is agreement between more intelligent people than me.. I want to be neutral. I will correct anything I say that is contradictory. I don't have a problem with that.
I don't sit on the fence if I can get to an informed decision. However my mind is a little messy. 10th grade education and all. Ok if you are enjoying the drama really. It isn't good. We should all want for others what we want for ourselves , happy endings. Where your buyer says Thank You and means it. So I don't like the drama. I am a fixer and yes I break things too. Then I fix them.

I will do my best not to have to apologize to either party. I want the best for them both.
 
Dynabrade , you need to show the emails that you sent Tate that express how you want return shipping. Not the emails that you shipped knives to him. He has acknowledged that. He has also acknowledged that he sent the knife to were you told him to. He didn't get tracking. Just first class. Lets see emails related to returning the hati s30v. thank you



Tate , I would like to know why you would choose to ship a $750 knife first class with no worries. No member here would find that acceptable with their knife. If they would they aren't being honest. Even if a party seems trust worthy. The world is indifferent to us humans. We know that is risky and insurance takes it out.
Dynabrade , Claims you stop communicating with him. At some point in discussing how to handle sending knife back. I realize you are frustrated by the discussion. However you have the same platform. Anyone prejudging is wrong. Like I said. I don't want the drama. If you have a better idea to a resolution. Please let someone know.

The only issue I see in your post is that u sent the knife first class without tracking (or jnsurance).

Other then that, I suggest you defend your good name and post the facts rather then just giving up.

That thread posted on here a few months back still irritates me... That guy bought my knife for a great price, took it for a test drive and decided he didn't like it so he sent it back without even asking me about it. I did pay him his refund but I took a week or two to do it because I didn't have the money immediately. That guy was one of the biggest a-holes I have ever talked with which is apparent from his posts on that old thread. No one would believe the stuff this guy would say to me in these harassing and threatening emails. He said all kinds of ridiculous things about me on this forum with no consequence just like people on this thread are going to do. I was threatened to be kicked off of the forum even tho I did agree to pay that guy and did in the end.
Along comes this guy from Russia who screwed up and sent me the wrong knife and didn't want me to send it back to him there in Russia because of customs issues. He gave me an address in CA and I sent it out via first class mail which does not have a tracking number and I don't know whether it has arrived at the destination or not. Now he is saying it hasn't and what do you know but I am once again receiving threats via email and being slandered on this forum.
I don't owe anyone anything and I'm not going to defend myself on this forum any longer.
Anyone who reads threads like this on the internet is a gossip loving drama queen who wants to be in everyone elses business. I am not interested in supporting or participating in that type of behavior.

I'm going to go enjoy the better parts of the forum. I hope Tate decides to defend his name. No matter what the cost.

This section of the forum is very important and should not be looked at as a bully pit or a place for mud slinging. It shouldn't be a debate where wise cracks and whit win. Its not for entertainment. Eventually we should have closure. Good or Bad

I don't think Dyna owes us any kind of proof of shipping considering that everyone agrees on the status of the knives after Tatev received them. Tatev had both knives in his possession, there isn't anything more Dyna's paperwork can prove. Tatev claimed to have shipped the knife, so a receipt on his part would be the only proof that is pertinent at this point.

Although Dyna, selling the knife again on Ebay before it was back in your possession is your problem, and you should have never listed an item without a guarantee you could deliver. You just compounded your own problems by offering it up without having it in your possession. It was also a mistake to go behind Ebay's back for the deal, as you would not need BF intervention had you enlisted Ebay's built in protections.

Tate should be responsible for replacing the knife if it doesn't show up, although I would give it a few days next week (it's always possible that he didn't ship the knife until later on). If you don't receive the knife by Thursday or Friday of next week, it's safe to say there is a problem and Tatev needs to offer a solution. It is his fault he didn't get a tracking number or insurance.

Since RevDevil hasn't checked in to say it, and it's generally good advice, you could have searched for Tatev's feedback and knew about his past disagreement with a little research.

Ebay, Paypal, and even Blade Forums have built in safeguards, but they only work when you follow the guidelines for the site that is facilitating the transaction. Never use PayPal gift, follow Ebay's rules when you sell there, and only deal with authorized sellers on Bladeforums after checking their feedback at your own discretion. Complete delivery at the provided address is the burden of the seller, and it's up to the discretion of the seller to purchase the appropriate shipping product, package the item properly and secure the item with insurance and tracking :thumbup:
 
A justice I agree, I really think if the knife doesn't show up. Tate owes the man the money. Regardless. Unless the email were to read tate send it first class. Don't insure.

I just read the old thread. It wasn't the same type test drive a buyer I had took. At this point I am withdrawing my confidence in Tate and getting back on the fence although I believe the seller to be honest. He really just made the mistake of shipping the wrong knife to Tate
really the fact he shipped a second as Bladenoobie pointed out should be commended. .

Can you please send the scan of your slip (bill) that you've sent the knife to correct address please. If it arrive soon, then we'll close this issue.
 
Here is emails between Tate and me. Everything shows that both knives are on hands of Tate and I've asked him sell Hati S30V carbon and send us money through paypal afterwords or ship the knife to US location. Have a look at details below:

I sent it to that address via USPS first class, which does not come with tracking. It should arrive in California today or Monday.

even if A justice is right about not needing this, as responsibility has already been established. I find them interesting. Why wasn't the agreement to just ship the knife back right away established? Why was Tate trying to resell the knife sent by mistake.?, What emails do you have prior to the 6th? <probably could solve those ?

Me to you. We are going to have to also give the knife a bit more time to show up. There should be a concensus on what time frame that is. It will require other peoples input, Some might say end of this week. I really don't know. Nobody wants to start calling out Tate. It may show up tomorrow. Eventually if its been deemed to long. It will have to happen.

Tate me to you. You know that. Saying opinion don't matter will be for you to decide. However , you have all the power to make those opinions positive. even if the knife shows up. It won't be . I don't think he pestered you. You had the mans knife for a good while. You should understand his concerns and not just blow him off. This is where your good name comes in. We talk about bad communication all the time on the forum. This is just being business like and seeing a deal thru

I concur. Let's not get all super involved in this just yet. Posting 100s of times isn't going to be much help to anyone I'm afraid, time has to take its course.
 
"You obviously don't mind apologizing", you seem to do it all the time. As I tell my children, the purpose of apologizing is to acknowledge poor behavior and to avoid doing the same things again.
 
I ve had nothing but good deals with Tate! He is a stand up guy! Someone said it right. People are on here for the drama!! Its sad but true. They need to come online to a forum and type crap about people they dont even know to get their jollies! I havent been on here in quite some time bc I got sick of all the BS! But for the most part I feel BF is the best knife forum.
