I literally just got mine less than an hour ago. I picked it up at the post office after work. K-02
Watching the video of the k-03 makes me feel like I bought an Audi RS4 but should have held off a bit and got the RS7. Wish I would have known there was a new model.
There seems to be a little bit of an issue with mine but I emailed Paul and I'm going to see what he thinks.
I will keep posted.
Looks like an awesome kit, looking forward to trying it out!
It is a loose front bar for the clamps or an off center angle cube block on the collar?
I got my k02 on Saturday! I was also sent the Diamond Stones instead of the default. Looking at the packing list, the regular stones were crossed out, so I am assuming they ran out of stock. My wooden box was a little damaged (it appeared to be too small for the metal circular base) but none of the contents were damaged. The box looks repairable, so I am not too worried.
So far I've only tried to sharpen 1/2 of a dagger (which I'll post about later.) Overall though, I am very pleased so far!
Does anyone know what the writing on the outside of the green box says?
Got my K-02 today.
Here is some pro's and con's I have noticed so far:
+ Quality of the system itself is as expected. Heavy, overbuilt and precise.
+ Manual is better than I was expecting from Russian company.
+ Using system is very simple
+/- Instead of 5 grits of "Profile abrasives" I received two double sided "Resin bonded diamond abrasives" made by Venev industrial diamonds so now I have 4 diffrent grits instead of 5. These are little wider stones, but thickness is about half of the stones I ordered. No 45 degree bevel but these hold in place just fine. Overall quality of the stones seems to be quite high quality maybe even much better than those Grinderman stones. Just little bit unhappy that nobody contacted and asked about this switch...
- Quality of the "military style box" is baaaaaad. Plywood was delaminated from multiple points and one screw was rolling around in the box. Cardboard box was intact, so no harsh mishandling in the transit I suppose. Fixed it with some glue.
- Torx wrenches and not a single torx screw in the system. Why?
- Glass blanks I ordered with the system were just acrylic blanks without 45 degree bevel. Glass would be longer lasting I suppose.
Overall I'm quite satisfied and although I was afraid to find out that K-03 (i would say K-02,5) would be significantly better, I dont fancy that new adjusting mechanism (probably more expensive, more play and easier to break) and there is not enough improvements to make me regret that I ordered now

Just to chime in about the abrasives, I actually ordered both the diamond and the grinderman stones, but only received diamond.
I did a quick knife tonight and I really like the diamond abrasives, but I want the stones I ordered!
They must be busy because I sent an email on Friday and still no reply.
Very nice system! My knife is Sharp.. with a capital S.

Hi to all ..my name is Antonio and I have the TS K-02 since 2 month ago and I have been used it to sharp 7-8 knives and I realized that it has an small problem that in my personal opinion I don't like, I work a lot at mirror edge and micro bevel edge . The problem is when you are working strops the clamp rotary system has tendency to move down and I have to put my finger to push up .it is my observation. Beside I have been looked at You Tube video about K-01 and it is better than K-02 because it is capped to push up the shaft clamp so it is more stable with minor movements even that I don't have it.
I hope Mr Paul will be able to modify this movement because with this system you can use any kind of stones with many options : cheap ones or expensive ones,
About the wick edge system I have 5 machines and I made 2 by my self including pro-2 and Gen-3 and all my knives collection are fold knives. This system works perfect for small knives of course all stone accessories are more expensive. Keep in mind when you start working on wick edge system you need to invest more time to set up both angles sides which is different with TS K-02 as it is easier to get the set up angle.
I'm not professional but I like to sharp knives as a hobby and personal therapy . I have been sharped more than 80 knives with the wicked edge system and still continue learning
Best regards
The box top says Profile.
Thanks! I thought it might be something obvious.Yeah, It says "Profil"
What is the purpose of this flat spot? I mean I can level with my angle cube, but what does it actually do? Is it supposed to rotate?

I ordered the Profile abrasives as well but received the diamond stones. Paul said they ran out of the Profile abrasives. The diamond stones (from what I can gather) are a ceramic base with diamond in them totaling 7.7 carats of diamond per side. Paul lists the grit sizes in micrometers but I believe it is actually the mesh size. 160/120 would be around 100 grit, 50/40 would be about 325 grit, 20/14 is 1k-1.1k ish, and the 5/7 is 2500 ish or so?
The yellow handled "wrenches for clamp" I received were also Torx bits but they do fit into the allen screws on the clamps.
Yes, they are very busy, about 3 days for a reply from when I sent my messages to my replies. I also had 2 screws in the bottom of my box, I think they just got pulled out due to items shifting around in transit.
Hope this helps...

Is that from the Venev website? My 20/14 stone feels the same as my 1K Norton, if not finer.
