Texas Camp Knife!

Here's another shot:

GEC listed some of the configurations for the 98's on their production page... the camp knife Northfield in jigged bone, king wood and smooth white bone. The Whittler and cattle knife is going to be jigged bone and kingwood in NF, and ebony, bone and micarta in Tidioute. Charlies are all jigged bone, but only he and GEC knows what colors...well, on the other page, there's some Charlies in antique yellow... and there's another pic in cranberry jigged bone! I feel like a stalker!!

While the cutlers are toiling away putting together that complicated knife, upstairs in Graphics, we have buttons!!
:D

Really loving that shield! The knife itself is larger than I prefer but I bet it's going to be a beauty when finished.

I like big knives.....wait, I like big fixed blade knives.

This one, while particularly nice looking, is just too big for me to fully appreciate.

If it were "normal" or "typical" sized I be on board and most likely get more than one. But sadly....pass.

That's one big hunkin mass of steel right there. Too big for me, but as a collector, you really have to appreciate the work and artistry that goes into building a knife like that. Congrats to Charlie on another fine knife.

I am Really liking how the main is shaped. The belly being that far under the the midline on the handle will Really be noticeable when slicing.

This is going to be a Fantastic user.
though I would have Loved a saw. ;)

Some looks at the awl, can/cap lifter, secondary and some Really nice looking wood slabs.

Where did you get these pics, NJBillK? I went to the GEC "What's Happening" page and didn't see them? Regardless, thanks for posting, they're looking great!

Ah, found it!
