Bill, William and the GEC Gang did good!!:D

Turned out to be quite an awesome knife! Way better looking that I originally thought.

We are not supposed to talk price here, although that guess is a little low, Mike, from early indications.
Makes sense, though I didn't realize it'd be over that top end.
In fact, very good!!

Wow, looks amazing. A definite classic. And the labels look great also!

What makes GEC outstanding in the manufacturing of modern cutlery,is the fact that they reproduce classics at nearly a custom level.

It's even something very few custom makers can do.Congratulations again Bill (and the GEC gang) and Charlie(and his gang).

Thanks Lyle!
And I feel blessed to be part of such a gang! Yo!
:)

Finally got a pic of the etch! Also an actual in-the-flesh Button!
:D

Charlie-I take it that the version in the pic is what the burnt orange is going to look like for this run? If so, it loOKs good. Anyone seen the antique yellow?

I am thinking that the one shown is either standard jigged bone or an antique yellow, most likely the plain jigged bone.
Going by what other GEC Orange jigged bone looks like, it has a significantly more drastic orange coloration to it than shown above. The antique yellow tends to show more yellow in the ends, near the bolsters.

That looks like the Burnt Orange to me. About the same as GEC's front page today, which lists it as that. Either way, these look really good! That jigging is superb! I love the etch too! Hope to get my grubby hands on one of those!

Good job Charlie and GEC!

Very likely since I just searched for "GEC Jigged orange bone" and this is what came up:

not my photo

Had I of checked, I would have noticed it was "Burnt orange"...
Thanks folks.

The Burnt Orange and Antique Yellow are similar. I can't wait to compare them!
I hope they are different enough to easily tell. Both colours are great though!

What to my wondering eyes should appear...................it wasn't a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer. Very close though, I saw this gift, from GEC and a man from WAY up NORTH, to the traditional knife collecting enthusiasts:

Enjoy!!

The Ivory Smooth Bone with cloud shield looks promising too.....even if it is monster sized:D:D

There's a grand slam Charlie! I might have missed out on Charlie's SFO.....hope not, because that's a winner!
Thanks Lyle!
