Lookin great brother! Thank YOU (very cool little stencil man). So the brand is named "Thanks"? If so that's a dope idea.. amazed that no one has thought of it before.
I like that knife! It looks like it belongs in the pages of a Herter’s Catalog from 1965. OHA guy I work with is an extreme outdoorsman.
He has hunted, trapped, and killed more creatures than probably anyone around me.
He asked me about making him a Coon Skinner.
He had specifics he wanted. A large grippy handle. He wanted a built in guard. He wanted the sharp edge far enough away as to not risk the hand holding the knife. Pointy with a strong tip. This is for cutting, gutting. The big stuff. Not fine detail work.
Blocky, as to not roll around. Easy to see/find. Stay Sharp! Apparently he used to line up a dozen or so blades. He didn't believe me when I talked about this steels ability to keep a good working edge.
Coon Skinner:
HSS Blue terotuf ( hopefully that's ok posting here, I Don't use it often)
And...... This knife definitely has a 1950's vibe.
A old looking beefy utility blade for when ya are out on the lake trying to get the Evinrude started up.... Haha.
Custom bronze and aluminum hardware.
White liners.

I'll sink these into into things with the purest of joy ma boi!
I have around 6-8 Super thin 8670 Kitchen Slicers (not pictured) going out to Bos for heat treating any day now (when I get off my butt) .....along with a Bunch More.
Well said man! You're not wrong. I definitley feel a connection with people who've made me a custom piece, and for what it's worth I won't be letting go of the blades you make me.The Name...... "Thanks"
Yes, I've got mixed signals from various people about the name/brand. I'm glad you like it.
With (me)...... My mindset is that you aren't really buying my knife. You are getting a part of Me.
I feel this is true probably with all handmade goods. SOMEBODY made that! I think that is really special in this day, and age......
There really is No reason to buy my knives, there is no reason for me to even be making knives. There are Tons of production knives for Everyone out there. I didn't need to make more. Yet I do.
I for some reason feel like I have to. There is something missing, I couldn't find it when I was buying knives. I knew I wanted something different, something more. I needed to be involved.
I really am happy so far with what I'm doing. It's happening fast.
I get a thrill making people happy. It's a rush. I love knowing that I can put a smile on someone's face, with my work....... It's worth it.
I'm the brand.
I'm only as good as my reputation and my word.
(true with all makers)
It takes a great many hours for me to make a knife. I know I am kinda slow. I don't see myself going too much faster? haha
Those are precious hours a maker is giving to their work.
The person buying the knife is believing in me.
I appreciate that.
There is a connection at some level.
There are many ways to look at my brand's name.
And, There are some things that I want to do with it....... I'm working through a few things.
When you give a knife to someone, that means something.
I'm hoping the feelings are mutually shared, I know I am Thankful as well.
Thanks.
That could be you mission statement and company vision for the future. Very well said. Thanks for sharing. The Name...... "Thanks"

It is unbelievably well balanced. 5/32" thick, seven inches long (3V blade)like the, especially the bigger one.
Those look great! Those things looks comfy.. can't wait to see how they feel after a few logs get processed. It is unbelievably well balanced. 5/32" thick, seven inches long (3V blade)
Almost feels dagger like.
I have a few more in 3V coming in from an awesome heat treat pretty soon, but
I think I am going to make a larger batch of them (5-10), in a lesser, more affordable steel, idk yet? maybe 8670?
Yesterday I was edc it concealed pretty much all day @ 5 o-clock. It was quite doable, even with a 7" blade.
It's probably the best/fav knife I own currently, and I'm a little sad sending it off soon.... :/
Coolio, I think 8670 would be a good user to stand up to heavy use. What about 80crv2?It is unbelievably well balanced. 5/32" thick, seven inches long (3V blade)
