Hey fellow knife lovers!

So many of use on here have knives or a knife that we just cant bring ourselves to use.
Mine was a Benchmade 15030 Mini Griptilian Bone Collector
It wasnt even the most expensive knife I had owned, but for some reason I just couldnt bring myself to carrying it huh...

So what knives have you guys kept virgins?

Mine is a Cold Steel Black Bear Classic. I can't put my finger on it, but there's just something about that knife that makes me not want to carry it on Canadian city streets...

That looks gorgeous! Ya not sure if I could bring myself to use that either...

A beautiful lockback folding hunter with olivewood inlays that my parents bought for me in Spain. It's certainly not a crazy high end knife, but it's handsome and sentimental, one of my favorites to fondle, but I can't quite bring myself to toss it in a pocket. I feel a bit guilty because I know they bought it intending for me to use it, but it's more a treasure than a knife to me.

An alox Vic Soldier my grandfather gave me. I did carry it for awhile but almost lost it too many times. It has too much sentimental value.

I've never bought a knife with out intending to use it as a cutting tool, that's like buying a wrench and never using it, makes no sense IMO.

I always buy to use......till I got a CKF Sukhoi 2.0. Sent it to Josh for his mirror polished edge.......just can't bring myself to carry it! I should just scratch it!

Barry Dawson's American Bowie, blade model no. 96. First off, the design doesn't fit my hand like his Sheffield Bowie model 58. Second, it's in mint condition and dates back to the late 1980s so if I ever do sell it, I will want to draw a collector's interest.

It would make a terrific user, though, as it's completely bombproof, has an amazing edge, a needle sharp point, a bit of recurve, and a heavy leather sheath. If I were to change one thing about it, I would lose the upper guard as it hinders a thumb purchase. Instead there should be a bit of jimping there. (But lots of folks like that upper guard. If I owned a USMC Kabar, I'd grind off its upper guard, too.)

Pic via eBay, not my actual knife, but identical to mine in every detail, including the green tie-down cord.

If any of yall feel it's of serious concern, yall are more than welcome to send blades to me for..."breaking in";)

I have a Frost Klan slipjoint that was gifted to me. I appreciate offensive stuff in general but I find that knife too offensive to carry... so it sits in the safe.

I have carried it on more than one occasion but, I have also found excuses on those days not to use it. I should ... but somehow I just don't, maybe today will be the day :-)

Mine was a fully serrated Spyderco Manix 2, I searched for it for a year and finally had one shipped from Canada, carried it for about a month never used it so I sold it.

I have 3 knives that I will never carry, not because of their monetary value but because of their sentimental value to me. One is a Queen Steel #75 that I bought around 1957 or 1958 and is the first knife I ever remember buying. One is a Uncle Henry, I think it is a King Ranch, that has my initials and the date 1990 on the main blade. I think it was given to me on my 20 year anniversary by my employer. The other is one that I received last week. It is a Buck 553 that was signed by Chuck Buck and dated 03.

I just thought of the 4th knife I won't carry. When my uncle, my mother's brother, died he left little of value but one item was his pocket knife that my mother gave to me. It is a 3 bladed Schrade that I have no idea which model it is. It is tarnished and a little rusty but I will never carry it. Again sentimental value.

The only knife I own that I will not use at this time is a elephant ivory scaled Northwoods Madison. But I have lots of knives that I have never used. The pile gets larger and I seldom even look at the old stuff other than the traditionals. I added two knives in the last week. Both will be sharpened, and both will be used (eventually, I think).

Mine is a sog Tigershark from the 90's that is brand new in the box. It was the one of the first knives I ever bought myself.

I have a couple Tigersharks that have not been used too. One old one (SK5 plain edge) and one with the partial serrations. Thought they were cool, but have no use for something like that. I have choppers I use and most are Condor short machetes.

Although this old Schrade only cost $2:50 back in 1960.
I could not bring myself to use it.
Even this old 1966 Buck 301 is happier sitting in its' box.
