That one knife you just cant bring yourself to use

It would be the HAP40 Delica for me.

But it's such a perfect EDCable user, especially with that steel!

I know, it's perfect! But I already have a user Delica and the VG10 is a fine steel. But you're right, and I dream about putting it my pocket someday.

Well, VG-10 is a great EDC steel, too. Resists corrosion all day and takes a wicked edge, doesn't it? :)

I find it very interesting that both VG-10 and HAP40 are used in high-end Japanese kitchen knives.

For me, its my Cruwear Mille... Very unlike me, I tend to use everything I buy, but I already have 3 other user Millie's so I figured why not keep one sprint BNIB....

There are two. One is a Japanese dagger of unknown brand thought to be from the fifties that I bought solely for display. The other is my grandfathers bucklite because my hand is much too big to hold it comfortably

Why get the upgraded Steel if you won't use it? The color?

Yep, the handle color is what I look for in a knife ;)

But seriously, it's for the collection. I'm past buying a knife because I need it. I've got the HAP40 Endura also, and the Stretch should be next. Maybe if my new business does good, then I'll take one of 'em out of the box and claim it for EDC.

Two knives I couldn't bring myself to use were a buck 110 with stag scales, Damascus blade and nickel silver bolsters.
The other was a Chris reeve small Sebenza. I gave the Reeve to my son. He has no problem using it. Sold the buck to a gentleman in Germany.

Diskin Fire with mirror polished blade. I would have preferred one of the coated or stonewashed versions but was tired of waiting for one to come up for sale. I still carry it frequently, but am definitely hesitant to use it too much.

I've had this Fightin Bull trapper for 12 years now. I've entertained the thought of
carrying it a few times but I probably never will.

I have the original version of the Gerber Yari, plain edge, NIB. I have one that I have used a lot, but the "safe queen" will remain safe for now.

Even this old 1966 Buck 301 is happier sitting in its' box.

I have a 301 that I believe is from the early 70's that's NIB. It belonged to my Dad so I just keep it in a drawer and take it out and look at it once in awhile. I would use it but I don't really like that style of knife and I have a couple of other small Buck folders to use.

Small carbon fiber Sebenza 21:

Pathetic, right?
The main reason I haven't used this since I bought it several years ago is because I wanted a Sebenza. I wanted the name, the legacy, the reputation, the quality... to see why the Sebenza has for so long been regarded as the ne plus ultra of production folding knives. Utility was not at the forefront of my decision-making process, and I had the funds. So now I gotta decide -- do I:
1) Keep it (as an investment)?
2) Keep it and force myself to use it (even though I have many similar knives)?
3) Sell it?
...or...
4) Give it away on Bladeforums? :D (I've seriously considered giving it to someone who always wanted a Sebenza but couldn't afford one; seems like a good way of giving back to the forum--though it is a $400 knife which is at this point a lot of money to me.)

Damascus/Vanax ZT0777. Though I've vowed if I end up in a tuxedo in the coming years, I'll carry it.
