The “Can’t leave anything alone” Thread

The late madman Charlie Mike took his grinder to this Cold Steel Spartan, creating what I called the Fresno Felon.

LOL @ Fresno Felon.

Seemed that Ol' Boy never really considered something really his until he made it truly his.

This friday was one heck of a mail call!
Bolsters with diagonal basket weave done on the Willie Paulsen by WValtakis WValtakis .
If you are looking for engraving work done, at a very fair price, Chip is your guy. These bolsters are crisply cut, and beautiful. I know Chip says that he is an amateur...but folks, don’t be deceived...in my opinion, he is a professional. He has his style, and executes it well. Very, very happy with this one. Dang, Chip...looks so, so superb in real life.
Thank you!! Just stoked!

Encircling the screws was an inspiration - really adds a nice "spin" on the design
Beautiful work Chip. Fine looking knife Coleman.

Thanks Ray!! Chip’s work really is outstanding. Turned out amazing, and flows well with the Paulsen.
We are very lucky to have such amazing craftsmen/women here on BF.

Unless a knife is perfect, i'm always in the shed adjusting it somehow. From just a little sanding or polishing, to reshapes, filework, new scales etc. I don't seem to be able to leave alone.

Looks awesome! I wouldnt say “less impressive.” I would say beautiful in a different style. :D
I was following your other thread. :) Great job.
There was surely a lot less work put into it, though. A lot less planning and more "well that didn't work. Let's just experiment instead". That's all part of the learning experience though. Glad you like it!
