The “Can’t leave anything alone” Thread

Dude I have no idea how you got that precise on the inserts without cnc but it looks incredible!
Thanks Josh! Means a bunch coming from you:D

Would you believe that was done with files, sandpaper and a tiny hacksaw while sitting at my control board? Just LOTS of test fitting...LOOOOOTS;)

WValtakis WValtakis needs his own thread. Something like. “More patience than anyone else”. “More artistic than anyone”. Steadier hands than anyone. Etc.

very well done and classy looking.

WValtakis WValtakis does have his own thread! Hope he quits jamming mine up. ;) ahahaha!!
Im sure Chip will be around shortly to add a link to his thread for you all. And I’m counting on him to keep posting here as well. :D
Always cool to see peoples mods, and works in progress.

I felt like my recently purchased Zero Tolerance 0450 needed to be spiffed up.

I think it turned out pretty good. Now I just have to find a really nice, deep carry pocket clip that doesn't interfere with either the ergonomics or it's ability to be easily opened. Next up will be a pretty nifty Delica I'm having some work done to. :D

I really dig your work with the Old Hickory knives. I’m a big fan of the blade and how it performs (easy to hone, flexible, thin, and tough).

Do you have a business contact?
Thank you. I've been in the outdoors over 40 years. When profiled right and the proper edge put on these knives, I've not found a better skinner for deer and hogs. I went from $200.00 M390 and 20CV fixed blades and folders to $20.00 Old Hickory's. I like to mod them for myself, friends, family, and to sell every now and then to support my hobby knife shop. Most "hunting" knives are made too thick these days. The thin stock on the Ontario OH makes it a great slicer and skinner.

Most likely acid quench method. I saw a vid online and tried it myself. My pattern is not as detailed, but happy with it.

I haven't been able to find anything helpful. Could you perhaps reply with the title of the video you're referring too, or PM a link?
Thanks!
