Nice, I had mine taken down to .015 BTE and it turned into a great slicer. So I had sold my original Buck Bladeforums knife as the thick edges weren't cutting it for meAs this one is a gift I'm gonna be keeping I had no hesitation taking it from
.035"bte down to a nice slicey .010"bte

Decided to polish the flats. Also, made some Shiro bits in brass.

Got this large 551 Griptilian in in the New Year's Eve Day mail but it looked too blah so,

I used some fine grit sandpaper to take most of the black coating off the blade. I left the blade in place and will take the knife apart later to do a more thorough job. Haven't decided yet but I may swap out the Sand colored scales for different ones. Actually, it doesn't look too bad as is as I kinda like the distressed look of the blade - patina look on a stainless blade.

Anodized the scales on my Sebenza bronze, and then stonewashed them. I might hit it with another bronze ano over top to see what it looks like, but for now I'm happy with it as is. I also bronzed the hardware on my gas stove. I left the lanyard pin blue to tie in with the thumbstud. While I was at it, I re-anodized the backspacer with a random blue/bronze pattern by using fingernail polish and then dipping it in wink, followed by removing the polish and anodizing it bronze. All in all I'm quite pleased with the results, especially given my lack of experience. I plan on this being a user, and I wanted something just beyond PJ to make it my own that would also age well. The lanyard could be a bit better, but it'll have to do for know because that's the leather I had and it was too thick to fit in the pin so I had to cut it in half.

Another small project from a few days ago was putting a satin finish on my Case Barlow using 220 grit. I'm not sure how well it shows in the picture but I was really happy with the results (my first attempt at this ever), and I like it much better than the factory polish. Now it's much less of a fingerprint magnet, and as a bonus I can now take pics of it without seeing Sony backwards and the reflection of a strikingly handsome fellow with an exceptionally luxuriant beard in the image. I did the blades as well. I think I'm going to do this with more of my Case knives going forward.
