PB washers are a perfect fit and work great. Next will be a flipper tab delete...
That's a beauty with all that micro milling. I've noticed (or at least I think I've noticed) the prices on the Arius coming down lately compared to the high secondary market prices of the earlier 2020's. Is that right or am I mistaken?

Shipped this was over $900, which is close to my cap dollar wise for a folder. Slighty more than my first Arius a few years ago. Yes, some of the secondary market prices are ridiculous (at least to me) so even at $900(+) it could still be considered a good buy. The mini version "msrp" are not that much difference in cost...

I like the Corda pattern on this one and managed to get an order in from DLT last year. Expensive, but the build quality is very good. With washers it feels very similar to a CRKs action, which is what I prefer over bearings.

I won't say never but the Arius is probably my last purchase for a long time.

Danng, yeah they're still expensive I guess then. Sweet as hell though! I like that Corda pattern too, that's awesome. Well I'm glad you got one of the greats for your (maybe) last purchase in a long time. I'd like to get my mits on one just to give it a feel.

Did an inlay swap and installed Skiff bearings for this WE Smooth Sentinel. Such a good little knife, and I love modern flippers with thinner blades like this.

After so many pages of beautiful knives, my entry is bit embarassing, but...it is the latest that's happened around here.

I recently got hands on an S35V Spyderco Resilience Regrind by David Mary Custom. I really love that knife, and would like more. His work is among the best bargains in the knife world, IMHO...However, money is tight, so I impulsively purchased an 8CRV Spyderco resilience and went at it with my own ten thumbs to learn some of this magic myself. I'll never be as good as he is, but..I wanted to learn to scratch that itch. I went from either .020-.022 (I forget which) down to .010 behind the edge. the blade is rough looking because I don't have any finishing belts, and I've been working heck out of it cutting cardboard and doing home renovation stuff. Overall, it cuts like crazy, and I'm real happy with how well it works, if not how well it looks. It's not too shabby for an ignorant unskilled fella like myself. which...is a good thing, cause I doubt I could give this thing away...lol. (I already tried!)

The Mora Kansbol is much less of a story. it is easily among my favorite knives ever. like many folks, I love the Scandi edge in the woods, but not in town. I happened to be sharpening it, when the thought occurred to me "Hey! this would be really cool if I flat ground it!" When I snapped out of my fugue state, this is what I had. It's actually working amazingly. If I could get a "Kansbol shaped knife" with Magnacut and a full flat grind, it would be among my most treasured items. But for now...this is fun. I've already worked it around the house and yard some, but can't wait until canoeing and foraging season!

Nice job! I bet they cut nicely.

If you've been around a while these should look familiar. They are at least 25 years old, converted Toplocks.

Ooo those are sweet! Nice job, I always liked those.
These are also about 25 years old. aluminum bolsters.

Dannnng, aluminum bolsters and stag on those bad boys! Some of the best Benchmades ever made.
I had some new scales made out of Jungle Wear Fatcarbon with black G10 liners for this Asher Lil Buddy.

Wow, that Fat Carbon really pops on that thing! I've got some blue fat carbon inlays on my Sharp By Design, but I like the blend on yours a lot better.

Thanks! There are lots of varieties with Fatcarbon (and they aren't even the only game in town). Their Jungle Wear is my personal favorite but green is my favorite color. 💚

Yeah that's right, I was trying to remember the name of the other big company who makes fatcarbon looking carbon fiber composites. I remember Brian Nadeau of Sharp By Design had a deal gone wrong with one of those 2 companies where he put down like 80,000 in materials and they basically ghosted him. Not sure if that was ever resolved. To be clear (for everyone), I'm not saying it was Fatcarbon (don't want to start a rumor), I can't remember which one it was. I always liked the look of Fatcarbon the best out of those types of CF though. It's always very bold and clear in it's contrast.

Even the best knife on the planet is subject to modification. There are already a few OzarkTrail replacement scale files on the 3D share sites. 😆

Printed PLA surfaces can be slippery so I added some stippling by importing some texture patterns and grouping them with scale designs. It worked very well the first time. You can add 'fuzzy skin' texture in the slicer programs but I didn't mess with that yet. I'm still a novice to 3d printing.
