The “Can’t leave anything alone” Thread

Here's a Kershaw g10 tyrade that I reground. It was super thick and the grinds were uneven. It's a much more usable knife now than it was.

I finally modified my Lil' Native. The little nub that protruded into the lock bar access? Gone. The funky edge termination? Now it's a choil. The forced finger placement? Fixed. I also rounded the outer scale edges a bit.

I'm not sure how many pics will fit into a post so I'll break it up a bit.

The bottom picture is not mine. It's a pic of the factory knife by EKnives. It's a the standard painted clip from Spydercos seki city made knives
Ah, I was hoping you were going to tell me the best way to turn a stock clip black.
I've got a similar clip on a Native 15V and I think I'd keep the stock scale if I could make it look that nice.

I think you can get or order clips from Spyderco. You just need to know what knife model had the black clip originally.

You have to be careful as not all clips are cross compatible on Spydercos. So color alone is not the answer, even if it is the goal.

That one has a slightly different shape than the clip on my Native, but I think the hole pattern is the same. However, I don't have one of those knives to double check to see if it is a perfect match.
edit - yeah, it's not the same screw pattern. I think I will check out the Spyderco customer service and see what they have in black.
