The 2 for 1 grateful giveaway. Winner!

I have been trying to keep my nose out of the giveaways but I can't pass up a chance of owning your boyhood hatchet. It will be just so very special for whom ever wins. Good luck to all and Carl thanks for the chance.

Jim

I don't really have a decent hatchet, and though some might see it as criminal to use something with such a great history behind it, I think that is what you would want, for it to be used.

I will humbly accept the chance to win this fine piece, with such a storied past, no doubt.

Thank you for the opportunity!

Glenn

Thanks for the chance - highly appreciated, Carl.

Not an entry though. Just a thank you for your contribution to the forums.

Wow, what an honor it would be to carry, use, and care for such a fine hatchet. Count me in and thank you for the generous offer.

Been staying out if giveaways lately but I can't pass this one up. Thanks for the chance.

you know, i have been looking for a GOOD hatchet, with no luck. they make just all metal (eastwing) or junk
i gotta try!
I am in

ps
as said above, a chance to own a piece of one of (several actually) Carl's stories is too great an opportunity to pass up!

thanks
Ryan

Not an entry; too new to be eligible. But what a great GAW idea, and it must be tough parting with something you've had so long!

Not an entry, because I have too many hatchets. But a hatchet sharpened by Bill Moran! Still. I gotta rise above the temptation. Though hatchets don't take up that much room, really. Nice knife, too. Very generous.

No, actually it's way easier than you think.

I'm a realist. I recognize that at my age, I'm not going to be blazing any trails in the wilderness anymore. In fact, I've reached an age where a very alarming amount of stuff now comes under the heading of "been there, done that!". I have stuff that I am never going to use again, let alone need again. A lot of that stuff is not wanted by family members, as I've done big downsizing before and they all have a good amount of my stuff. Knives, guns, tools, whatever. So now I just have stuff that is not going to find a home with family, so I may as well find it a home with people who I know that will actually care about it and use it. Like the great people on this forum that I have come to think of as family of sorts.

Yes, I have had this hatchet since I was 12 years old. But, I don't need it, and if I keel over with the big one tonight, who's gonna get it? I'll rest easier knowing that my forum friends will have a go at it. Besides, with the arthritis in my hands, using a saw is way way easier on the joints.:thumb up:

Exactly how I feel. What an honor to associate with the fine folks here. How cool that you were friends with Bill Moran. Bill gave much to the knife world, just as you do Carl. Thank you for your continued generosity. I too will pass because I have many axes and hatchets, several forged by my own hand.

It's a great feeling to see something you care about get a new lease on life in the hands of someone who'll do it justice.
Thanks for your generosity and thanks for the chance!

This old knife here could use the company, too...

Welcome to your latest stage of life. I too have been gifting certain items to friends and family. This is not an entry but a welcome onboard to a great stage of life. Good to have you onboard...Herb

Been wanting a good hatchet to attach to my bail out bag plus the bantam is a cool little knife so I'm in. Thank you for the chance!

A very beautiful old hatchet to giveaway Carl. Sadly not an entry for me- two reasons -I've only just opened up a parcel from KBA which arrived at breakfast time this morning - OMG but more of that later. And the postage would be insanely expensive . Just keep those grand stories comin' mate that's all I ask.:)
