The 2 for 1 grateful giveaway. Winner!

Okay, I said I'd let it run till Saturday, so here we are. Putting all the numbers on small square papers in the old bucket hat, my better half reached in, stirred them all around, and picked out number 24. Glenbad!

Send me an email with your address and your new hatchet and SAK will be in the mail!:thumbup::thumbup:

I got you're PM, Glen, and you're very Very welcome. This little hatchet an I traveled many miles together over many years. I always tried to keep it as sharp as a knife, because Mr. Van always told us a really sharp hatchet won't skip like a dull one but bite in where it's supposed to go. It likes a little rub down now and then with some mineral oil, maker 'er happy. :thumb up:

I'll get it off first thing Monday morning to you. If she gets restless on her first nights in a new home, just lay an old scout knife by her and she'll settle right down.:D

Carl.

Congratulations Glennbad, I think your old hatchet will be in good hands Carl

As a follow up to winning this amazing GAW, I thought I would provide an update.

No, I did not mod the hatchet...

I have been enjoying using it here and there, and it has proven to be a worthy companion. The Vic bit me as soon as I got it, so it's been in a time out since. However, I felt that such a fine hatchet deserved an equally fine jacket, so I contacted member John Smith (darkmatter35), with the hopes of having him make me a sheath. We went back and forth on design, and I sent the hatchet off to him for some new clothes. I didn't want anything flashy or ornate, a BSA hatchet wouldn't look like that. He finished it and sent it back to me. I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out, it was just how I wanted it.

Okay, enough yapping, here are some pics...

Once again Carl, thanks for trusting me with this fine tool, it is being well used and cared for.

Glenn
