The 2010 Forum Knife Continues!

Anyone know what the blade options are in the Trapper?

Charlie, this is a Scout pattern GEC did for Bulldog USA. So at least drop point, spey and pen for choices.

Of these two patterns I would prefer the Equal End Jack Either spear or clip for the main blade is fine by me:)
THANKS CHARLIE

Of those two styles the Trapper. Not loving the cigar style. Still in regardless.

#73 Trapper for me. Single blade if possible.

At over 4" long, and round and fat, the equal end is more than I will pocket. I'm in for whatever comes, but anyone who has not owned one of those, and plans to carry theirs, should know that its kind of like carrying a roll of quarters in their pocket.

Dang nice knives though.

Are we down to those two styles? I'm kind of hoping a scout is still in the running.

If I have to pick one, I would go for the equal end. I would prefer a clip in one end and a spear in the other.

ditto.

This is very cool, and I can't wait to see what the final verdict ends up being, regardless of what is chosen. And since I am trying very hard not to buy any knives until around the end of February, this process is still scratching my knife-buying itch.

Equal end clip and pen same side. Or

Equal end clip and spear same side. Or

Equal end just clip.

Spear and punch equal end would be my first choice but spear and clip pen would be my second choice. A big trapper would also be fine with me. I still like a blackwood handle.
;-))

EE w/clip sounds good to me.

I know I'm new and all but I'd love to be a part of this. Sign me up.

slingham, keep checking in! When the time comes, likely 2 to 4 weeks, we'll be asking for payment up front, and you can place an order then!!
Welcome!

Christine,
Hi,
Could you tell me what is the difference is between the 54 and 53 frames .
Thanks,
Neeman

There is no difference in the frame of the 53 and the 54, just in the blade configuration.

Chris

4 1/4 " is too large for me.

What about a Congress at 3 3/4" ?
This is a nice size for a Congress, giving enough blade length
Change the two primary blades to a sheepsfoot or wharncliff and a spear.
The two secondary blades to a coping and a clip
It would be an awesome knife for whittling!

For the 4 1/4" size there is also a modified Muskrat
