Ah, one of my favorite knives. Sadly, lost in an unfortunate "This is my pocket knife now" accident after I loaned it to my wife. I only get to see it when it needs to be sharpened and have tape gunk cleaned off it. My precious. I even bought her a full SET of those pretty colored annual Alox SAK limited editions, in Orchid (close to pink, which she loves), hoping to free the Electrician from the confines of her purse / pockets.
And what happens? "Oh, those are pretty! Those are part of MY collection now, this one is still my user." Great. I just have to carry on, with my Cadet and Pioneer to console me.
Pretty sure I’m good on that. ThanksI’m not sure if you got an answer, but the criteria is something like: a certain amount of time as a member and also a certain amount of posts in the traditional forum.
I got one last year. I believe the requirements were Gold member or higher with 25+ posts here in the traditional area of the forum. Not to sound like a total d.a., but how do we get considered as a potential buyer for the forum knife? I’m oblivious to the process. Thanks in advance for any input.
Yes, it is possible. Think Victorinox SAK, third blade on the back.Funny you say that, I saw the “two spring” comment last night and spent a good minute trying to envision if a three blade, single spring knife was in any way possible. My conclusion was yes it might be doable but it’d have to be mighty fat or mighty flimsy.

Also called a "lobster Knife"I’ve never taken apart an SAK. Now I know how I’ll spend time on YouTube this evening. lol.
I've taken apart a bunch of them, and put them back together as well. Wouldn't be hard to put together a single layer with main, pen and corkscrew or back Phillips. In fact, I may have one I built that way.I’ve never taken apart an SAK. Now I know how I’ll spend time on YouTube this evening. lol.
I don’t think we ever got an answer as to why GEC had a bunch of sheep/lambs in their hallway pic. Would be interesting to see a lambsfoot in a stockman configuration, either as the main blade or a replacement for the sheepsfoot. It could be called an improved stockman. How about an Abilene with three blade shapes that are usually secondary blades - maybe a sheepsfoot, lambsfoot, and spey. Call it the Second Fiddle, and use a fiddle shaped shield.
I’ll let y’all fight it out to determine which of the three shapes should be the primary. LOL!
PS: I’m with the ebony crowd.
