The All Stag and Ivory Buck Thread (Let's See Your Stag & Ivory Buck Knives)

I've posted these pics before but everyone likes a cute kitty, right? Model 196 Mini Alpha Hunter with BOS ATS-34 blade c.2003 and Indy c.2008.

JB…what can I say?? You just keep coming up with winners every day!!
I especially like that stag 111 barehead with the 110 chipped blade. The stag on it is excellent!!

Redgoatee….the stag knives I carry hold up very well and I don't see much in the way of wear on them.
I do know that stag is acceptable for pistol grips. I have seen recommendations of not firing a pistol dressed in Mastodon ivory for fear it might not withstand the impact though.
Also, you can see a pretty typical elk stag on one of my 110's in post #83 of this thread.
Look at post #90 in this thread at my latest custom shop 110 in Sambar stag to see the difference.
Post pictures if and when you get one!! :)

Roger….those are great photos!! I sure do miss having pets, but my lifestyle just doesn't allow it right now.
Very nice stag on that Buck knife…and, yep, it is a cute kitty!!:thumbup:

Okay…back to another stag 110 for me today.
I love knives, but I even like them more when they come with a story. This one not only has nice stag, but an excellent story.
Seems it was one of the very first of five finger groove stag 110's that Buck produced.
This four dot has the hand radiused frame with square bolster in the lock depression.
I'm posting the original box, sheath and letter with today's photos;

Thanks stumps. The imformation you gave was good. Thanks for the picture references too. I'm probablly going to wait to after the holidays to make a decision to buy an elk stag knife or not. I want to make a smart choice. and want to wait to things slow down. I do have a asian water buffalo horn knife i'm very happy with. But the elk stag knife caught my attention too. Quick question. The elk stag has held up even with out the rivets? I like the look of the elk stag with out the rivets. But would think the scales might come lose over time. I guess bucks has a way to prevent that if you choose no rivets.

JB…another nice one and very unique!!:thumbup:
Sure hope you can keep this thread going a little longer or some of the other Buckaroos jump in with some of their stag and ivory Buck knives.
I am running out of stag and ivory Buck knives to post. :(
I can keep posting a few more days and that will be it for me.

Today's stag Buck I'm posting is a beauty.
A little 303 that I like a lot!!

I really like the ivory 110 knives on this thread. If I could I would get that. But when I checked buck s costum shop, ivory wasn't an option for the 110. Which is a shame I did notice that there was an option for the alpha hunter for giraffe bone. That looks awesome. Would love if that available in the 110. But no luck there either. I wounder if bucks would do the 110 knife in giraffe bone.

Stumps, love that 303... I've have a few more knives some where... just got to find the pics... and that's it...
I didn't know I had this many... JB, wow... What happen to HK and EEE and everyone else... There has to be
more Bucks out there... 110 Dave where are you... ;)

Dave has been busy making wedding plans, so we can excuse him for now. :D

Yeah Armand…I have more than I realized too.
It sure has been fun getting them into my hands and shining them for the photos each day.
I've always loved stag and ivory Buck knives and this thread has reinforced that feeling. :)

I can go a little while longer with a few 110's. Then I can shoot the back side of most of the knives I have already posted....LOL.

Here are a few more 192's

Redgoatee….in regards to the ivory 110 you want. You will probably have more luck finding what you want on the auction site, but it will take a little patience.

Armand…we are waiting patiently for you to dig around in all those boxes and bags of knives you have for more stag and ivory Buck knives.
(I always wonder how many times you cut yourself looking in those boxes and bags??) :D

JB…sounds like you have lost control in your home.
You can NEVER give up space in your man cave…NEVER!!!
Can you just imagine the trouble you would be in if you started storing stuff in your wife's sewing room?? ;)
Anyway, thanks for helping in a huge way to make this an excellent picture thread for stag and ivory Buck knives!!

I have a nice stag 124 Frontiersman for today's photos to share here.
This one is serialized 80 of 1000 on a mirror finish blade.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

Just my poor pic taking... Reflections... These are the BCCI knives and NS. Couple of the same knives that are in the pic with all the others.

I realize they don't but these two look like brass front bolsters with NS rear bolsters, different.

I remember us having fun calling this one a steak knife. Its probably already been posted, but here is mine. Lighting makes it look more orange than it is.

Model 405 King of Bucks Build out. ATS34 Sambar
Modeled after the 2001 Chuck Buck Signature knife.

Just a thought guys and gals. Showing all of these fantastic, mostly custom knives. Importance of hanging on to the boxes to have the dates.

Best thread in a long time Stumps!!

Larry I love that group photo of your's, I think it's the best looking stag layout so far. In addition to the green monster of envy the first time I saw this photo for the fact that each of your BCCI DP 110's & 112's were ten times better looking that the ones they sent me:o.

Here is the start of the 110's. I'll post the newest one first, took a bunch of this one so I'll will post them all (slight light & angle changes)
