The Anvil Shed, The spot to shoot the breeze.

I feel that it's important that I share this important, recent development with all of you. I know this will surprise many of you and shock some to their core, but I have to get this on the record.

I like knives.

I particularly like Buck knives.

There, I said it.

A few years back I purchased a Triumph Sprint RS that the owner had crashed and did the cheapest possible repair to, it was just really bad.
Today a package from Italy showed up and the last issue, the pulsing brakes, has been resolved.
Somebody at the factory went berserk on two bolts with the Loctite but a few minutes with a propane torch took care of that.
I did have a Buck knife in my pocket just in case things got ugly out in the garage.

Wow. That machine screams speed, fun and danger.
Enjoy it

I was getting closer to using my Christmas money on a 110 Hunter Sport . . . but yesterday a buddy texted me with about sale at a large purveyor of pew-pews in Kentucky that also featured "free" shipping. Something may or may not have happened with a website shopping cart. ALLEGEDLY.

No new Bucks for a while!

I love pineapple. Those look great. So bright.
thanks. easiest fruit to grow. bugs don't seem to get much at them and only lose a couple a year to large critters, if I pick them fast enough. don't fertilize or water until they flower. biggest downside is the leaf pattern setup allows mosquitos to spawn in the water pools retained by the leaves. we have bats all around the property so that helps curb them a bit. this year was brutal though on mosquitos.

another month or so my sugar cane will be ready to harvest and chew. looking forward to that.

Wonder how many know what it is or have chewed cane. That is a fond memory from childhood shared with my grandaddy

My granddad was a bus mechanic in Queens, so no cane chewing for me. :D My dad loaded sacks of sugar on the Brooklyn docks, for Domino sugar as a summer job in college. As a kid we'd go to ME and VT in the summer and chew all sorts of stuff we'd find in the woods, or along the road.

Edit: my sister in law lives on the west coast of FL outside Sarasota. I'll have to try some when I'm down there.

Try it. Unless a hurricane goes thru there should be some in that area

Would chewing sugar cane require any prep first or shredding? Just curious.
way I do it is shave off, with a sharp knife, the skin/bark and chew it. juice gone, cut off piece chewed and keep chewing til gone. have to cut the sprout separations out. theyre too hard to chew on much.

David Martin(R.I.P.) used to cut it into bite size slices. shave off the skin/bark and chew it like gum. juice gone and dry spit out and start on a new piece.
I dont care for that as it tends to splinter in your mouth and it makes spitting it out a mess.

I've seen different ways of those variations, but for chewing it's pretty much those two ways.

old pics from years back....
