I have had so many knives come an go... an I still find myself pulling out the Ash to play with or to do odds an ends..I just love this design.. I recall seeing the old Ash1 ad from the 80s-90s an it's still popular an in high demand today. this blade is just timeless.. what other Busse's do you think fall into this exclusive category?? What blades will still be popular in 20 years..

The Fusion Steel Heart, Heavy Heart Fusion Steel Heart, Straight Handle Battle Mistress, and Fusion Battle Mistress.

I hear ya, Rob..... Wholeheartedly agree!

It's THE blade that I like to have around the most. NMFBM is another one that I can just whip out and play with. But for shear sexiness and play, my AK47 is hard to beat ;)

The ASH1 from an ad in a Blade magazine is what made me seek out Busse. I remember seeing it in the ad and thinking to my self that it was the sexiest knife I had ever seen. I now have a custom shop fat full convex one and love it!

Gotta say my FBMLE is the one for me. Thick, Satin, and a physical representation of pure bad a$$...

Couldn't agree more Rob. The ASH1 was probably the one that piqued my interest first with Busse. At first I thought, boy I wonder anyone in their right mind could afford one, then I later realized I had about ten different variations! It is an awesome design pattern and I'm glad to own them.

Right up there with the ASH1 is the Boss Jack LE and the anorexic boss street in my book too.

NMSFNO all the way...it's just right on so many fronts (heft, blade size, thickness, handle angle). Mine should be back from the CS any day now :D

Even though I doubt it will ever be even close to being one of the "big ones" the SOB is the one that I just can't put down. I love everything about the feel of that knife.

Much agreed on the ASH1. I feel the same way about the FSH. I really think the Battle Shark will be timeless and highly collectible once it sinks in and we get ahold of them. A departure but with classic style and utility, also dead sexy.

I agree that the ASH-1 is timeless but also see the Boss Jack as one that will be around for some time to come.

Had one, sold it. Am I the only one who doesn't like this knife?

I had three or four and sold em.

What don't you guys like about the ASH 1? I have never owned one. I like the looks but don't think it would be very functional so i don't plan on picking one up.

EDIT: By functional i mean in a bush craft sense. Also, in a fighting/soldier knife i would prefer something bigger or something much lighter for the ASH 1's size.

Think your wrong there. Well, if saying Fat Ash then maybe. I personally don't really buy knives that are thicker than .25", but I even think Fat Ash has a descent grind for how thick it is. The BGASH( and skinnies I'm assuming) is one of the best medium sized all around blades I can think of. I LOVE the grind and the way the BGASH fits/feels in hand. Tip is not tooo thick for stabbing/cutting. Really a favorite. I think you will regret not trying one with thickness of .25 and less. Hell you might like the Fat Ash . If I had the money I would still have the ASH1, but I like the grind/weight better on the BGASH. Have done plenty of everything with the BGASH and really wouldn't change a thing.

Only and worst photo could find.

Yes i was referring to the .320" thick ASH 1 but even .250" is too thick for that size knife, for me. I wouldn't be against trying a skinny ASH 1 but they are basically impossible to find and i would only buy if it had micarta not G10

The Regular Ash-1 is .220-perfect, I think the skinny's are .197 though they do vary
