The Ash1 is timeless

Legend has it that one day Andy will own all ASH1's in existence.

I've never owned, or even handled, an ASH1. That being said, I think it is timeless. I do have an ASH2 and assuming the the handles are the same (they look like it in pics) I can imagine how good one feels.
As far as other timeless blades... I'd say the FBM and TG are a couple of strong contenders. I say this as someone who is relatively new to Busse (within the last year) and these are the ones I became familiar with first, which I think speaks to their popularity.

Rob, you've been making some pretty kick ass graphics and stuff lately. Do you do this kind of stuff for work or just fun?
 
Finally got to use my ASH1 BG today.
Cleared off a patch of land where the wife and I are going to build our house. Man.....talk about packin a punch! That girl hits like a ton of bricks. And after all that I did, she'll still cut printer paper cleanly. I am truly impressed.
I have a SFNO BG, that will be here Monday. I reckon there's not a lot of difference between it and the ASH1 BG.
I can't imagine what a NMFBM would be like lol.....
It waz just so much fun using that ASH...

And yes, Id really like to try some INFI sometime.

I agree with the OP about the timelessness of the ASH1 design. Regarding which others have/will have this status, I feel any Steel Heart or Battle Mistress will likely always be popular. The SHSHII and SHBM are two of my all-time favorite Busses.
 
I kinda goofed with my ASH1.
Have been using her quite a bit, and cleaned her up the last couple times with 92% rubbing alcohol.....why I have no idea. Well, its what I use to clean my stainless spydies with. It works good and quick and easy.
At any rate I forgot to add a little oil, and now there are little tiny brown spots of what appears to be rust on the blade. I went ahead and applied a little oil. But whats the best way to get rid of those little rust spots?
