The Ash1 is timeless

Love the ASH-1 -- probably the .22" LE the most. Other contenders include:

SCABS (so handy)
Boss Street (so useful and tough)
SFNO-LE (for looks)
NMSFNO (for functionality)
SJTAC (great combo -- fighting knife and utility knife)

That is a good question... one answer is simply that I already have several Skinny ASH1s ;) There is no question that the Busse exchange moves a little slower today than it has for a long time, I think this is honestly attributable to OP 2 Weeks. Unless something is very desirable/rare/well priced it is going to take a bit longer to move. Skinny ASH1s are not rare, you can probably see flavour one or another appear every couple/few weeks and that particular one is not cheap (it is about right price wise - but not "cheap") so it will take a little longer.

With all this ASH love, why is that Skinny on the Exchange not sold yet?

To me, the ASH-1 is only half as exciting as the ASH-2. ;)

I am going to check it out-The picture with the wallet empty has A LOT to do with it, O2W has taken the exchange to a new LOW!
With all this ASH love, why is that Skinny on the Exchange not sold yet?

I kinda goofed with my ASH1.
Have been using her quite a bit, and cleaned her up the last couple times with 92% rubbing alcohol.....why I have no idea. Well, its what I use to clean my stainless spydies with. It works good and quick and easy.
At any rate I forgot to add a little oil, and now there are little tiny brown spots of what appears to be rust on the blade. I went ahead and applied a little oil. But whats the best way to get rid of those little rust spots?
Thanx alll...

Beat on it like a rented mule.
Those rust spots are the prime indication of a lonely blade.

The spots came up right after I chopped a big limb down.
The alcohol is what caused it.
I havent hax but for a couple weeks and use it quite often.
But like someone else mentioned, Im gonna baton them off....

Roger that.
Note to self: do not clean SR-101 with alcohol...

Yeah man.....I knew better too.....shouldve put a little oil on it. But really relieved to hear they will come off with some batonning. A good excuse to baton!:)

I often clean a blade of with some isopropanol to get gunk and old lubricant off. Does a great job. Just hit it with some mineral oil right after (I keep a soaked shaving brush for this purpose - well I have several there are gun brushed, knife brushed and dry ones that are for dusting) and Bob's yer Uncle.

I got a pretty good deal on a RMD LE because it had some rust spots on the blade and around the tang. Once I started using it they all gradually disappeared. I'm not especially careful with it and the blade gets a lot of staining/patina. Whenever I baton it all basically rubs off in the area where it was in contact with the wood.
