We have pretty much all of the standard micartas, TeroTuf, and black G10 and OD Green G10. We do not have any wood, ebonite, or Westinghouse.

I used up the first batch. The yields weren't great but that was some beautiful wood. I have a second batch that was cut live and is aging. It's been about 10 years so I guess I should cut some and see what it looks like.

That's much better news, i.e, not having scrapped the rest! I only own one CPK with Osage scales (my bad for not grabbing more when they were more readily avail) but that one is from that Ivan/Justin block of Osage rather than your own sourcing. I would luv to put my name down for at least one set if & when they get the green light from you by the time the fancy DEK2s/3s come up for their finalization. Hopefully they will age well by that time to be considered and offered

Why does wood have to age that long? Isn't there a way to make wood, "age" quicker?

Two or three years should be perfectly adequate. But we're pretty dumb here.

If wood ages well like wine, the 10-year aged wood should look magnificent. Will the added aging give the wood a darker hue, or a lighter hue?

The color from the popsicle juice has to soak all the way through and then evaporate for the right color, and the black mold from the trailer park wallboard needs time to rot to show the right figure.

It helps reduce risk of movement and distortion from machining.
