The "Ask Nathan a Question" Thread

Nathan, who'd win this fight? A silverback gorilla armed with CPK Behemother and an orangutan armed with a Keffeler Sasquatch? BTW, they are not going to delimb or maim each other, just the bragging rights about chopping to pieces the tallest, the baddest and the most fruitful banana tree!

Now with that important Q out of the way, I haves something less serious to ask: remember back when I had brought up the idea of a 14" chopper, perhaps named The Behemothest (Behemostest?) but in 2018 you had made so many choppers that we had all gotten choppered out? You kinda cyber grinned but never said No! Just asking...
you got it wrong fella! The silverback gorilla only uses Keffelers

Hi Nathan. Any nifty CAD drawings of white board ideas that you'd share with us today?
Thanks.

I don't really have anything to share like that right now, but I can tell you there is a collaboration we're doing with a fireman for a breaching tool knife that's basically a sharpened pry bar. It is single bevel and designed like a chisel. 3/8" stock. It will be able to pry open windows and doors that are not designed to be opened, and also support the full dynamic weight of a fully laden fireman. Material is on order.

Super duty field knife. Double-edged fighter.

DEK1,2,3. Kukri. Folder.

Awesome
Can you share the size of the sharpened pry bar?

Some makers just call those their 'knives'.

😂

A little over 12 inch total length, about 6 and 1/2 inch blade.
Can the CPK Halligan bar be far behind?

(I purloined mine from work. Don't tell anyone.)

I’ve always wanted a Halligan bar, for what? But I’m ready so if you ever want to part with it let me know. 😀
It'll have to be a two-fer with my 10 lb sledge. Both used while on SRT and as an agent in various task forces. Nice stuff to have on hand on occasion.

(They'll probably be with me until I drop. A couple of my sentimental possessions.)
