Hello Nathan!

Inquisitive minds would like to know more about the folder, would you mind sharing more information/a couple of designs of the folder?

I just read that CRK is starting to roll out sebenzas with magnacut (hardened to 64) and on a sheepsfoot blade, that sounds nice, but I’m really curious about your take on a folder

Don't know about that, but you could definitely negotiate moving up the priority ladder for a custom one-off. 😁

*** Come to think of it... after seeing the K18 flex test video (I had no idea that D3V could do that), I wonder what it would take to convince Nate to make something like an Oakeshott XXa or XIIa with a ~32" blade and ~10" handle 🤔

I'm interested in your heat treat optimization process. Not asking for specifics, I understand need/desire to keep those particulars private. Just more general info on how you decide what and how to tweak the manufacturer recommended HT. Iterations. If you don't HT in house do you have several Iterations done at once or is it one at a time? Seems like a long arduous process. X degrees vs y time and then x degree again etc. I can understand how the manufacturer does it, in house capability, time, R&D budget. What is the thought process behind making it better?

Some of us have been waiting for the resurrection of some iteration of the very original Carothers knives, namely the Skinner and the Shiv, for well over 5 years now.

I am hoping that Harrison chooses a very expensive college to go to and that Abigail becomes one of these forever student types who opts for Masters and Phd after her Bachelors, instead of marrying and forming a family! If the CPK-Kids keep Pop's arse in the game, long haulers like us are golden 🤣

Some issues i was forced to change my
Bladeforums name so from now on i will no longer go by FRC505 but by NMFrank now and of course ill continue to do the formerly known by bit for a month or so or until i can reestablish myself here on the bladeforums
Community as well as on the cpk subforum
As that is where im most frequently at when i log onto bladeforums !

Since i havent been active on here much in the past 2 or 3 months and so this may have already been asked and answered but ill ask it again anyways ! And that question is are you guys still on schedule/on time on the DEK1,2,3 preorders ? And one more question ! For the preorder i ordered a dek3 but as time goes and i get to thinking about it some i find myself wanting a Dek 2 so my questions is this did you order enough of the steel to sell some dek models on the cpk subforum ? And inparticular the dek 2 ?

Imo that would be awesome to pick a cool symbol like prince did but how would it work to say log in or whatever ?!...maybe i should have picked something less pedestrian and maybe choose something i have interest in say like this for example : BnB which stands for Blades and Bourbon since i happen to love both ! ...thanks for your insight it really made me think about this topic more then i had did originally !

I was only joking Frank. I wasn’t really going to try and find your house to intercept CPK packages. I think the name change was a bit much but I get it. My wife is always trying to pull shit like that in an effort to avoid me.
