That would be an interesting question for All makers.....Have you ever collected other knives or are you only into making and perfecting?

Oh yeah!!I think my favorite knife that I own is probably an OG Behemoth.
FWIW, TBH IDK WTH AfBW and TBT mean, DYKWIM? But DSFDF and YMMV.Nathan your post about you scouting and shopping for top notch wood scales on the eve of Blade Show when vendors set up their tables and wares got me thinking:
Have you already dialed in all the wood scales for this ongoing DEK 1/2/3 preorders but will also be shopping for more potential future suitors, say for the Shiv 2.0, etc or will you also possibly be looking for some exotic wood supplies for this existing preorder? As a huge fan of your past AfBW scales, I was kinda bummed out that you purportedly ran out of that stash but TBT, if you manage to score something similar, I personally would not mind waiting longer for that popsicle stick sweepstake.

It's gotta be African Blackwood.
Nathan had and made the best, most gorgeous AfBW. I know this with utmost certainty because I have the receipts!

It's a gorgeous wood. One of my faves (I have a wood fetish). Those are especially pretty. Hard to find good black samples, though, of any size. I spent a lot of time at Blade Shows looking for it, with precious little to show. The sapwood is white as . . . white.
Here is the lone remaining block of decent African Blackwood that I have left from all my searches. One day I still hope to have a custom knife made with this . . .
