The "Ask Nathan a Question" Thread

Sorry for you loss Mark. Losing your trusted companion is the worst day ever and the feeling lingers for months and years to come.

My avatar photo is my old dog Jessie “J-Dog“ who passed in 2016. She was my constant companion on all my knife use adventures. She had a genuine curiosity about, and respect for, my knives. That motivated me to get deeper into the knife hobby and write reviews. I still miss her dearly. For those reasons, she will always be my avatar.

I have two new yellow Labrador girls who are about to turn five next month. I love them both, but they are not knife dogs by any stretch of the imagination.

Again, my condolences Mark.

Phil

Hounds are family (well, better than family in some cases). So sorry for the loss - it's one hell of a gut punch I wouldn't wish on anyone.

If I might make one suggestion though - don't do what I did and bring home four dogs after losing just the one. I love them all to death but I'm pretty sure they have expedited the spread of silver in my mane - wouldn't recommend. 😁

Sorry for the loss Mark. I know my cats are my children, more than a few times my wife would take them to the vets, most times minor but some times were serious, and I never asked her to see the bill.

On another tangent, the Amazon culture really spoiled a lot of us. And social media. Many people want something the next guy has, right away, without knowing what that guy went through to get it. Just like that one time I DM Nate out of the blue on insta asking to trade my kidney for some steel, not expecting and answer, but he did reply and the rest was history. And I still have both kidneys..
