The Battle Grade is Coming!!!. . . The Battle Grade Is Coming!!!. . . Sneak Peek!

Zilla. Done.

I'll add that personally I would prefer rats and dogs being made of INFI over hogs being made of SR101. I really really really want a 1311 in INFI. Call it a B13 or INFI 1311. I don't care as long as I get one.

Another ASH1 line to purchase? But, but, I haven't yet collected all permutations of the INFI model...That said, I will give this model a look. And try to purchase at least one. Gotta keep up with A the A, you know...;-)

Wow, so the ASH2 is made of sr1+1, oops, sr101. :p Sounds good to me, now we just need to see how low the price point comes in at and whether these are differentially heat treated or through hardened.

So it will be limited time offer ? (2 weeks) not limited quantities? Right ?
In other words anyone who orders with in 2 weeks gets one ?
Where do I sign up ? :)

This. ^^^^^^^ Great minds think alike

I don't think they do DHT anymore. Maybe it's not needed? If one can't break a through hardened blade of SR101, then you don't need to expense of the DHT process. Just guessing.

When Jerry says each knife will be offered for "two weeks" does that mean they will be available for a couple years?

Your logic is a bit off, at least according to what I picked up during my interest in katana. A differentially hardened blade is more likely to take a set, or even break, than a through hardened blade. The benefit of the DH blade is the increased hardness of the edge, allowing for better sharpness and edge retention.

AFAIK, the DH version by Swamp Rat were RC 58 at the edge, same as the through hardened versions. I thought the advantage of DH was overall toughness of the blade, where the softer back could better absorb shock.

I'd have to agree BR. I miss the old Dog logo made with INFI to really give my Dogs bite to match their bark!

I want a Battle Grade ASH 1.

I have been thinking about the edge SR101 takes on my Wicked Edge. I really feel that an ASH 1 razor blade is something I need in my life.

As long as we're making suggestions...

BG Shiva Rex, Boss Jack (Proto, with fuller) and a Sus Scrofa would be on my short list...

All Busse Combat knives are limited quantity as they are offered for sale for a limited time, not introduced and then made until the company goes out of business. By offering the Combat Grade for much less time than the others, the quantities are much more limited than usual but apparently you will be able to order as many as you wish while available. I assume that the only limiting factors will be: time; how much SR101 they have; how many are ordered; and how many they can make and still fulfill any other concurrent obligations. The last restriction should simply delay delivery of the knives ordered later within the window of availability.
