The Battle Grade is Coming!!!. . . The Battle Grade Is Coming!!!. . . Sneak Peek!

Ummm?!? How about the ratweiler cg that I ordered a long long time ago???

I agree. About 2 years wait since placing that order.

SR101 MOAB? Pretty please......

Ah yes... Now this is a great idea. Same thickness and all hopefully.

Also i thought DHT allowed for higher shock absorption and extra strength in stress bearing. But im no expert. I know the temper line looks sweet on my Weiler and it performs like a champ. Thats enough for me.

AFAIK, the DH version by Swamp Rat were RC 58 at the edge, same as the through hardened versions. I thought the advantage of DH was overall toughness of the blade, where the softer back could better absorb shock.

With a Katana, for sure, the way I understand it. When I think of DHT I think of color case-hardened firearm receivers, where the outer shell is spring steel and the core has the properties of CM. Might be totally off-base, but CCH INFI would be the schit, am I right?

sooooooooooo what does Bravado think about Busse using SR101? He is the INFI gatekeeper and whatnot...

Only question I have is that a lot of the folks on the boards really swear by INFI, does the fact that these will be SR-101 make anyone disappointed? I'm fairly new to Busse collecting, but it's INFI is a truly incredible steel. I have a few rats and a few hogs, and both perform really well. INFI should hold an edge better, and have better corrosion resistance, be a bit less likely to experience chipping. I can say INFI holds and edge really well, but the SR-101 seems to as well.

Thoughts?

Only you can decide wether steel choice is a show stopper. I'd prefer INFI. That being said I own a R3 in SR101 and I love that little beast. I know that SR101 will stain. I've forced a vinegar patina on it. Nice gray finish that patina ;)
I'm hoping that the cost of an ASH-1 in SR101 will be low enough to compensate not being INFI. Mate, I'm good with this 👍
But.... Please Busse, bring her back in INFI :)

Aye, mate. A bit of friendly international competition. 😆 But the siren song of other Bussekins also catch my ear. Custom Shop R7 on the way, and currently bidding on another. Does this never end?...;-)

Righto Sir! First there were RMD's to collect. Then Steel Hearts. Then ASH1's. Then DSF's. Then Res C's. Then SJTAC's. And sprinkled among those were other models. Oh, the humanity!

ASH1s are my favourite but make up about 10% of my Busse pile..... wait....what......

With Spring and fishing really turning on I hadn't looked at the forum in a little while. Good thing I did this morning. Can't wait for these, though we need a CG NMFSH :)

Since the swedish goverment made the value of the green to almost worthless the past year, i welcome these budget Busse knives, im very happy and will get one :)

....same here. Costs me 1.25 $ Canadian for every American $ .... Knives are 25% more expensive for us... Add the shipping .... It does take "dedication"
