When is it coming out? I can’t wait for it! That’s going to be the perfect knife! It’ll make all my other knives obsolete.

That new knife must be a POS, it blatantly copies US knife makers by having a cutting edge.

I have a pre-civil war Emerson Commander rip-off. Is it worth a lot of money? :p

Probably more than my Randall/Scagel prototype folder. It's for sale, I'm shining it up on a buffing wheel to get all the annoying rust spots off, and putting on some durable FRN grips in place of the rough red stag. Stupid red white and blue fiber spacers are going, too.

I may even drill a Spyderhole in the blade, whatcha think its worth after all that? Should be a good seller!

Also, we forgot that one:

"How can I conceal a 10" bowie (and still be able to play limbo)"

Someone over at knife forums IWB carried a Ranger RD9. Where can I get a sheath for three of those and a SEbenza and still be concealed while taking a dump? What model should I get?

What's the best steel?

Is it better to have five spyderco/benchmades/CRKTs, etc.... or one Sebenza?

What is your favorite EDC?

What was your first "good" knife?

What is in your pocket right now?

I already have a Delica. What's a good second knife?

Why would Spyderco let Wal-Mart sell one of their knives?

Did Benchmade steal the Spyderhole or was the patent expired?

All you need is a SAK.

What's the most underrated knife?

What's the most overrated knife?

Does S30V chip?

I heard that the axis lock fails during the spine whack test? Is that true?

What's the most heavy duty folder on the market today?

Help me pick a gentleman's folder for my Dad.

Did anyone see what's on the Cold Steel website? OMFG!

Can you trust linerlocks?

What's the strongest type of locking mechanism?

I heard that the Manix beat Striders and a bunch of other real expensive knives in some cutting tests. Did anyone else hear that?

Where can I get a replacement clip?

How many knives do you have?

What is the value of your knife collection?

....that's all I can think of right now.

We have agreed to getting a Sebenza
and a Sharpmaker? ( I do NOT have one The General,
I cant sharpen for Le Poop)

No.
Already have one.
When we see mike at the grind in he can demo the proper way. (and all edges will be convex!)

Sean

I agree, get a Strider as well. Find out for yourself about all of the hype!

Keep thinking, people!

You ask some pretty hard questions, Slatts but I'll try and give you my best answers.

What's the best steel?One that won't break.

Is it better to have five spyderco/benchmades/CRKTs, etc.... or one Sebenza?I'd have to say... it's better to have 5 Sebbies.

What is your favorite EDC?My wallet with some $20's and a credit card in it.

What was your first "good" knife? The one that didn't break.

What is in your pocket right now?My hand.

I already have a Delica. What's a good second knife?A second Delica.

Why would Spyderco let Wal-Mart sell one of their knives?Because Wal-Mart is not in the business of buying knives.

Did Benchmade steal the Spyderhole or was the patent expired?I believe Dunkin Donuts still holds the patent on the 'hole'.

All you need is a SAK.Only if you're a member of the Swiss Army.

What's the most underrated knife?Probably the one that I won on the boardwalk at the ring toss stand.

What's the most overrated knife? The one that can make 'paper-thin' slices of a tomato... when's the last time you fought a tomato?

Does S30V chip?It helps if you don't try to cut metal with it.

I heard that the axis lock fails during the spine whack test? Is that true?I'm not sure but I know for a fact that a lot of locks fail when you perform the sledge hammer test.

What's the most heavy duty folder on the market today?I believe it is the 'Bulldozer' put out by Caterpillar.

Help me pick a gentleman's folder for my Dad.I don't even know your Dad.

Did anyone see what's on the Cold Steel website? OMFG!Pictures of knives?

Can you trust linerlocks?I can't even trust my lawyer!

What's the strongest type of locking mechanism? One that won't let the blade close by accident.

I heard that the Manix beat Striders and a bunch of other real expensive knives in some cutting tests. Did anyone else hear that?I can't say as I did.

Where can I get a replacement clip?At the 'replacement clip' store.

How many knives do you have? One.

What is the value of your knife collection?A little over $19.87

....that's all I can think of right now.Thank God... my finger was getting a callus on it and my coffee has gotten cold.

Another one:

Blades are made of STEEL with two e's. Not STEAL.

Exception: Cold Steal. AND IT'S THE ONLY ONE.

Why CTV2™ steel of course:D, an exotic and expensive Hybrid of Chromium, Cobalt, Tungsten, Vanadium, Molybdenum, in an alloy of surgical grade stainless steel. Thorough hardened to 58 HRC Rockwell with a secondary cryogenic cutting edge hardening, it is a steel that is basically indestructible!

And remember all good knives have blood grooves, and are impervious to aviation fuel, and Al Qaeda body fluids.:D

And since I am LOOSING the internet special olympics discussion, I might as well comment on your Avatar, Forum Name, Post Count, Join Date, Education Level or Location.

Thanx for all the fun, folks.
Which 3 knives to have on a desert island, is about the only question missing.
(The only answer missing is how to get over the contradiction of "get a Seb, is the end all agreement" and in the same initial posting stating that only custom knives are the real thing. It's like complementing the "get a sharpmaker, period" advice with "but for carbon knives, get waterstones".
Oh well, guess this won't be the last thread ever after all ;-)
