The Bears' Den--Shirogorov Showcase

Not as cool as a stellar, but I'm still glamorous

Does anybody know how the pivot collars on these are installed. Is g10 epoxied in, painted on, or is the f&f so seamless that it's stuck in there?

Back again with another new acquisition and what will likely be my last Shiro addition for a while. Want to live with these 3 for a while and see how I feel about each one and where I land.

2018 NeOn CD in Damasteel - probably one of the earliest Shirogorov "grails" that I saw and immediately wanted when i first saw it. The production NeOn was the 2nd shiro I bought after a 95T, and the first one that really felt... "right" to me. I've since moved on to prefer larger knvies, but rekindling that original magic is something special. The milling, the Zirc accents, and the amazing Damasteel pattern all serve to just make it that little bit extra special. Included a picture of the trio together, as well as a size comparison shot with the pivots(mostly) lined up.

Thought I had all of the Neon's I wanted, and then I ran across this MEFP version. In my opinion no one executes Frag pattern quite as well as Shirogorov. It's a full coverage both sides of the knife, and rather than just cutting intersecting vertical and horizontal lines across the scale, he patterns it around features like pivot, screw, and logo.

While flipping the Neon - I noticed what looked like a bit of irregularity in the Damasteel pattern - after a closer look, I realized it sports the same CD engraving as the other models! I was not expecting this to be present on the Damasteel - as the Sprint run knives do not feature it! Was an interesting find, and extremely difficult to photograph without the pattern getting in the way - but finally got a nice shot of it!

DAYUUUM!!! It’s HUGE!!!! Very nice on all fronts. F&F, design, ergos. Such a great knife.
The internal milling is very cool and takes so much weight away.
With the MRBS the blade flies out, drops shut and is SOLID!!
Probably wont be my last Shiro. I have a craving to try a CF and ELMAX Hati on washers.

…ohhhh and it’s obviously NOT blue. I only saw three pics of the knife before purchase. One image gave me the impression it was the blue ano.
