If that's a Neon, what makes the Neon Lite different? Is it just a blade steel difference? I understand the different models now, but I'm still fuzzy on the different versions of a given model. Recon1 just restocked the Neon Lite so I was just curious

Mine is a neon lite. It’s got standoffs instead of a back spacer. I think that’s basically the only difference.

Nothing to be sorry for, friend--I'm just glad to see you around again. We all have things that take us away from this or that for a while. Hope all is well with you. I'm always glad for your contributions from Shirogorov home territory which give us timely reports of the Bear facts. ;)

It's a handsome knife and reasonable price, size, materials, more subdued, seems like a great choice for edc.

Tomorrow is the big day my first Shiro arrives, very excited. My expectations are high, which to be honest, I expect to be exceeded. Although it likely won't be for quite a while, I am already plotting my next acquisitions 😂

As you guessed, they’re indeed the small Sebenza and Neon. The compact size makes them much easier to carry around in my daily life.

Your photos are great too! If you want to take even more textured shots, you might want to try using a camera.
 
This one should be the Neon released by Shirogorov back in May 2024

I’ve never owned any other Neon models, though, so I can’t really point out the differences

I'm excited for you! I recently got my first Shiro a few weeks back - a NeOn NL. I was blown away by the quality. I expect you will be, too. We need pics when it lands! 😁
 
I'm shocked how well it carries considering the size. And just the overall feel, insane. Fit and finish is just on another planet
 
What’s up Bears Den. One final addition to the collection for a little while. I was able to pickup the Quantum Silhouette. I love all blacked out knives, and this one for being simple, is really well done. Not sure if I want to use it yet, but time will tell. But for now, my top row is solid. Now on to the next step of collabs and CD’s.

that's the first blacked out Shiro I've seen, very menacing.

Such a great collection, I love the USA MB Arius, I saw one of those on the exchange recently and wished I had the gumption(see: money) to buy it. So weird how simply changing the handle finish on an otherwise plane jane Arius changes the feeling of it so much. I would probably go for a base model with corda or standard handle milling, just for price reasons, and then perhaps send it to Way of Knife for a DLC handle and hardware finishing. I think that could be really nice, I don't think I've seen a black handled Arius with textured milling yet

Here's a better lighting shot of the 111 Terrus, I'm really blown away by this thing. Incredible fit and finish, it exceeded my expectations as I predicted. Huge thank you to mrbear007, I am not worthy!

It’s actually an aftermarket thing Recon1 does periodically. It is very nice, but I don’t want scar it up yet. There is a very cool dlc Arius with rose gold hardware on BB that is a stunner.

I really like the Terrus knives. Great pickup! I hope you enjoy it. I do still have to add a 111 and a F3 to close out the production knives. Ugh, time to sell a kidney on the black market.

The Terrus happen to be my favorite in the elemental series, so I got lucky. Very grateful for the opportunity to be the custodian for now, with any luck, forever.

Did someone say 111? I've gone too long without carrying mine, so into the pocket in went today. It opened a lotta boxes when we got home after our monthly bulk grocery shopping at BJ's late this afternoon.

So awesome. It goes surprisingly well in the pocket for such a big knife. Has to be the best carrying out of anything in this size
 
anyone got tips for untying the knot on the original lanyard? i need a marlin spike, might be time to order one
