Yeah. What Ray said. I'm using plastic GI canteens. That may be the difference.
 
Oh well its cut now, but why would you want to put a soot covered stove in your mug?
 
Finally got around to taking some comparison pics of the different canteen cooking setups I have.

1) GI canteen cup and standard black canteen
2) Nalgene canteen, GI canteen cup, canteen shop canteen stove, and heavy cover lid
3) Pathfinder School canteen cook set: 39oz stainless canteen, 25oz stainless nesting cup, Stainless nesting stove, ABS cap, and Rothco stainless canteen cup lid.
4) Heavy Cover 37oz Titanium canteen, HC 23.7oz titanium nesting cup, and HC titanium canteen cup lid.

Just ordered one of the utensil holders from the bay. Going to make something similar, not sure if I need legs or not. I wonder if this will eliminate the need for an Emberlit... doubt it.

I also have to get pictures of my alcohol stoves in this thread.

Never have. Now that I have my Emberlit and Snowpeak kettle, I really don't think about using anything else.
 
Well if you still have that setup feel free to send her to me and ill test her out and review it for ya :D

I think it turned out awesome. Really if you ever decide youd like to trade it or sell it send me a PM. We might could really work something out if you wanted.

Thanks man, but I'm gonna keep it. I wish my 12cm Zebra pot would fit down inside it. I bought another silverware drainer, but the bastards didn't list the size right, and it's too small too.
