Hoping the Oily Creek SFO makes it to production...
'Oily' bone without a bail or shield is the only thing I want out of this run (other than the clip blade I'm not going to get). If GEC produces another run of 'radio' knives sometime after the beer scouts, I would really like to see other main blade options.
Presumably, if A SFO goes through for CK.net in oily creek bone, it would have a shield, but NOT a beer scout shield. I say "presumably" because I have no real knowledge. But the last time CK.net did a SFO (heck, with all SFOs of "beer scouts" last time) there was a shield but it was NOT a beer scout shield.
The Gunscout was a very attractive rendition last time around. I wonder if there will be another along with these.
Agreed! You're probably right, although I'll be happy with one either way, as long as it has some kind of shield. I just hope it gets green-lighted.
Agreed!
The Oily Creeks are locked already? - How come?
I'm in for both wood and micarta versions of the BSK. I've been contemplating for the past 6 months if I wanted to drop the extra $$ for one off of the Exchange, but thankfully, GEC and CK made up my mind for me. What are y'all's preferences for wood and micarta color? I think I'd like to see a Bubinga or darker cocobolo handle and maroon micarta. I know blue denim micarta is a Northwoods thing not likely to happen with GEC, but I would definitely love a Blue Denim BSK. Hell, I'd probably buy a few.
