The Beer Scout Knife

I picked up this spear Beer Scout at the Rendezvous last year, they were parts knives, I think the blade is dated 2013 if I remember right. I think there were 6 or 7 in the white bone and a few others in other handle material.

I was fortunate enough to get this gun scout from another member here. It's the only one in my humble collection but I do really enjoy it. There's a few models that seem to catch my eye and I'd have to say the beer scout is one of them. I'd gladly buy another if a future run presents itself.

I've never pre-ordered a knife before. But if Beer Scouts are in the works I'd immediately pre-order. Can't think of a better Summer EDC.

I have a Cocobolo and a Smooth Ivory Bone Beer Scout that I need to put to work, but for now here is my Brazilian Bloodwood.

Also this, which is exciting (taken from a dealer's site)

#15 Tidioute Boys Knife - Sheepfoot blade/cap lifter, No bail, easy open notch, NO shield, 1095 carbon

Looks same as the Beer Scout except shield / bail. Don't know if end capped, but expect not since EZ Open. Expected price $80's.

We are trying to add an Oily Creek Bone SFO, but this will depend on the general production demand on the factory. So this may come off.

For those that didn't get knives from the prior run, it is definitely good news. But it seems uninspired. No bail and no shield. No blade change. Similarly priced.

I'm happy to see more of these coming, but I agree with Jake.

I would have liked to see a clip or spear blade this time around. And at least a couple variations with the plain "scout" shield.

But I'm still stoked for more caplifters!

I'm in on a few of these. I removed the bails on my other Beer Scouts when I had them, so the shield-less, bail-less 15's were appealing to me this go-round.

Just reserved a couple, never got in on these last time and refuse to pay secondary market price on em. Pretty excited☺ looking forward to the oily creek bone

Glad to see another run of these. My smooth ivory bone needs company!
The beer scout is the knife that got me back into traditionals since I used one as a kid. Since then I have also acquired a Northwoods Michigan Jack and Northfield Viper.

While I also would have liked a new blade shape, I'm happy to see new covers- jigged bone, a better micarta, and hopefully oily creek bone.

I went crazy on the preorder. I grabbed a jigged bone, wood and a micarta Beer Scout, as well as a micarta boy's knife. I hope these are done in the same awesome natural canvas micarta we've been getting.

I personally love the beer scout blade configuration, so I'm happy. If I'm only getting one cutting blade on a knife, I prefer it to be sheepsfoot.

Noo! I wish collector knives shipped to Canada so I could reserve one.. I've been DIEING for a beer scout in Tortoise Acrylic ever since I've gotten into traditional folders..

Any word on the next run of the beer scouts and is there is any early reserve websites for us Canadians?

Do you not have ANYONE in the US that will forward you a knife?

I was hoping for a different blade this time as well. A long pull clip or spear would have been awesome

That would be great, but has GEC ever done a regular run natural canvas micarta.. I thought that was always an SFO?
