The Beer Scout Knife

I went crazy on the preorder. I grabbed a jigged bone, wood and a micarta Beer Scout, as well as a micarta boy's knife.

Yeah, I don't want to talk about how many I reserved.

I am really excited about a new run of Beer Scouts (and the similar-to-the-Beer-Scout Boy's knife), but I agree with others that I wish they were doing something a little different, a different main blade type or something.

I would like to see GEC rethink the "No shield" on the boy's knife variant of the beer scout... plenty of middle ground between the controversial long "Beer Scout Knife" shield and nothing.

A nice bomb shield or houndstooth would look awesome and class it up.

I'm in for 3 either way. :)

With a few exceptions, I think the majority of the #15 "Boy's Knives" they are shield-less.

True but they don't have EO notches either. I guess at a certain point they would be radio knoves or crown lofters... Hell they're really just all 15s to me.

It just says "wood" -- anyone know what kind? Cocobolo, ebony, something new?

This is one of the maddening things about GEC..... Everyone wants one, but it now seems you have to pre order to actually get one, but no one knows what wood, acrylic, or color of bone they are until pictures come out on GEC's site. How do I know? I've pestered several dealers and even Chris in the past, asking these very same questions. Better just buy em all!

Hi, can somebody please help me figure out where to get on a pre order list? I don't have pm, but an email will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

Edit: Thank you rye_a and gunstockjack for the help with this. Your help is greatly appreciated.
