The Beer Scout Knife

This thread can't languish at the bottom of page 8!

And I see I was the last contributor a few weeks ago, so I guess it's only fitting to bump this up with my latest acquisition that just arrived. :)

IMO the Gun Scout was the best one produced out of all the new Beer Scouts. The Bloodwood and the shield just put it over the top.

But then again, there's this. :D  Technically not a Beer Scout though.

That's beautiful, Bob.

I had JUST discovered the existence of GEC as the Gunscouts were being released. I fell in love with the Brazilian Bloodwood and that wood was basically unobtainium at the time, so I had been keeping half an eye out for one I could pick up sometime.

Barry hit a grand slam when he spec'd the Gun Scout for his SFO.
I agree. Barry's Gun Scout is one of my top five favorite knives. That long shield really works on the relatively long and skinny #15 frame.

Couldn't resist. My TWSBI Micarta was one of my first fountain pens. Now my Burgundy Linen Micarta Beer Scout is my first GEC.

Love the TWSBI! Great pairing! I saw that and got confused for a sec. Thought I was browsing The Fountain Pen Network. [emoji5] Just got myself a new TWSBI last week. Love them!
