The Beer Scout Knife

How great does the picture of the chestnut sawcut on the Declaration of Independence look!!! Reinstates my thought that this variant has the most traditional look. I can't wait to get it!

The beauty of GEC's marketing strategy is that they make so many variations of different patterns, if there's a particular aspect you don't like about a knife, they offer something else very similar yet different. There are so many various offerings of the #15 pattern, there's sure to be something that attracts someone to one of them. There were other #15 frames with a caplifter offered and there are currently SFO's coming of the Beer Scout which do not have the Beer Scout Knife shield. My point is, if you don't like the current shield, just wait. There are more coming with different shields. No need to get so worked up over a pocket knife.

Gentlemen, I am going to leave final disposition to your regular forum moderators. BUT, please keep talk of trades or sales to our Exchange forums. Please keep the discussion on the knives, not each other. Talk of fanbois is inherently insulting, not appropriate here at all.

I saw that yesterday, on the 4th, and thought wow that does look good. I'd like to get one of those too, but have already set aside that money for a Soda Scout, and I want the Brazilian blood wood covered version.

After waiting too long to buy a #6 Pemberton I wanted and missing out, it is really nice to see these different #15's being made. Thanks to all who have worked to make these runs possible. Our son & grandson will have some nice pocketknives for birthdays this year.

Hey man I am not worked up I just found curious the level of response in a dissenting opinion on it

Mr John a more senior poster just gave me some thoughts of reason on fanboy and he is right, sorry sarcasm is my nature

Hey man don't let this pot call kettles black we are all pretty guilty guilty here of pocket knife obsession :)

Can think of many many things I spent far more money on back in my single and wilder days less positive then pocket knife collecting nothing wrong at all with enjoying nice products and fun stuff to collect

Collecting GEC is fun, amazing American products, now have 5 and counting just this year alone since discovered them and for sure will be buying plenty more :)

Sorry did not know that was a faux pas, actually I did redirect that conversation to the correct posting area.

OK. Back to our regular scheduled programming, please.

I'm really looking forward to these. I purchased a couple for me and one for a gift.

I did the exact same thing. Giving a guy that is my accountant, a Sunbrite!

Are you sure that's wise Perry? I once knew a guy who bought his barber a bottle of whisky as a Christmas present, you should have seen the haircut he ended up with! :D Just saying ;)

It's ok, Jack. He has promised me he won't drink on the job. Course I can't be there to watch him all day. I will be sure to look for those signs in the future though.;) He does seem to be very layed back most of the time though! Hmmmmm:D

I can see you're on it Perry  :D

Since the beer scout variation I have on order hasn't come out yet. For the Fourth I've been using the old 'leverage with the dogleg blade /a pretty interesting bent nail design for a bottle opener'

Nice pick JSutter~

Glad to see you supporting a local brewery, J.... I'm doing the same with my Radio Jack while I wait on the mail...

Well Gentlemen, I figure all those employees need to support their families, so I just do my part to help them out a little bit. I'd guess you, and others here, are doing the same! What a great world we live in... :)

Agreed, I have believed in and had high hopes for GEC since the first year of production. I applaud their achievements, and here's to all the families who's fathers, mothers, sons and daughters work there! Thank you all for the fun over the past almost 10 years!🍻🍻
