The Beer Scout Knife

Oh I don't think the Sunbrite is plain looking at all. I just already have the 1 of 7 that I got from Evan and its all I need in the Sun!
Here's one more shot of the Tortoise.

I'm really liking the tortoise shell BS Perry. Your pic captures the colors nicely.

Always appreciated, Bob! If Barry hadn't shown that beautiful saw cut,,,,I was almost out of the woods!

Was a tortuous 10 hour shift at the clinic knowing my Tortoiseshell Beer Scout was sitting at home. Beautiful colors to it, and I am really digging the pattern. Not too sure about the bail, but I'll keep it for now. Main blade pull is around a 5, with the caplifter being a stiff 6. Won't get to test out the caplifter for a bit as I have 2 more 10 hour shifts to go.

Yea philllll (A real BS knife with Sierra Nevada brew!)! And everyone else! Those sawcuts are really tempting....

I thought that label looked familiar! ;)

I love that Tortoise. I just ordered mine today.

Thank you Rick and crufflers! If you can't tell from the pics that have been shown, the tortoise has some real depth to it. Much improved over the original acrylic in tortoise, GEC used to have.

I gave in, and ordered a Tortoise!!
You guys and yer gol'durn pictures!!
A wallet can't get any rest around here!!!!

You guys are posting some great looking knives! I will be knife-less while traveling for the next few days. So I'll enjoy the photos even more than usual.

It's always great to look at pictures of knives, TX! Thank you, hey Charlie, glad you got one, it's really well built, big surprise huh?;) I actually am surprised at how much I like the bail on these. Very well placed, with no shaking or rattling about in the lanyard holes. Bill never ceases to amaze! Well done sir!:thumbup:

Yeah, I glossed over the tortoise but now I feel the pull to pry open my wallet grab one. Thx.

Yes, the quality is a very nice surprise. As in true GEC form, they took a look at the older and made it better!

I'd noticed the bail too. Usually not a fan, but this one doesn't rattle around and is actually snug enough it stays where you put it. It also pinches open very easy, something I can appreciate as a 1-arm using person. Gripping it with the blade closed and caplifter open is a bit more awkward feeling than my Radio Jack. Due I'm sure from the main blade sitting up higher.
